Series 14 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa on Blu-ray #4

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And here we are, everyone! We’ve finally made it! It’s time now to talk about the fourth episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. I’ve been waiting a long time to share my thoughts on this ‘Doctor Who’ episode, which happens to be ’73 Yards’ by Russell T. Davies. ’73 Yards’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 25th of May 2024. At the time I shared my spoiler-free reaction video on ’73 Yards’ back in May 2024, I didn’t know what to make of the episode when I first saw it, despite me enjoying Millie Gibson in the episode. Now I’ve had more time to think about the episode, what do I have to say about it? Has it won my approval or do I think this is an episode that could’ve been better handled? Continue reading

‘Happy Birthday to Me!’ 2026

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

8th of May and it’s my birthday today! 🙂 I’d like to share a couple of photos of a personalised jigsaw puzzle I’ve put together recently. It contains photos of some ‘Doctor Who’ stars that I’ve met over the years at conventions. These ‘Doctor Who’ stars mean a great deal to me! Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Barbie’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, on Early May Bank Holiday Monday in the UK this year, my parents and I saw the 2023 film ‘Barbie’ on Netflix. It was a fascinating film experience to sit through. I’m glad ‘Barbie’ has been released on Netflix lately, as I can now say I’ve seen the film after all these years. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘The Sheep Detectives’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last weekend, I saw ‘The Sheep Detectives’, a mystery comedy film featuring CGI-talking sheep in live-action. I greatly enjoyed seeing this film. This is a traditional whodunnit murder mystery with sheep helping to solve the murder. I didn’t expect to enjoy this film. Continue reading

Series 14 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa on Blu-ray #3

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the third episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. This week, we’re checking out ‘Boom’ by Steven Moffat, who was the showrunner for the Matt Smith/Eleventh Doctor and Peter Capaldi/Twelfth Doctor eras from 2010 to 2017. ‘Boom’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 18th of May 2024. I recall seeing this episode at a Premier Inn when I was away in Bolton with my best mate from school Stephen. Was Steven Moffat’s return to ‘Doctor Who’ truly worthwhile, as I indicated in my spoiler-free reaction video on ‘Boom’ back in May 2024? Do I still regard ‘Boom’ as the best episode featured in Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series? Continue reading

Quick Blu-ray Review – ‘Octopussy’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s been a while since I did a review on a James Bond movie, isn’t it? The last time I did a review on a James Bond film was ‘No Time To Die’ back in 2021. So, let’s do another review on a James Bond film that I’ve seen recently on Blu-ray – the 1983 film ‘Octopussy’! Continue reading

Series 14 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa on Blu-ray #2

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to check out the second episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. Today, it’s time for ‘The Devil’s Chord’ by Russell T. Davies, which was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 11th of May 2024. ‘The Devil’s Chord’ was the second in a double bill of ‘Doctor Who’ episodes shown on the 11th of May, with the first one being ‘Space Babies’. It’s been fascinating to revisit this ‘Doctor Who’ episode for my in-depth review on it compared to when I did my spoiler-free reaction video on both ‘Space Babies’ and ‘The Devil’s Chord’ back in May 2024. What do I have to say about this episode since first seeing it on BBC iPlayer back then? Continue reading

‘Beast Wars’ Review #42 – ‘Other Victories’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the penultimate story of ‘Beast Wars: Transformers’! It’s time to check out the episode ‘Other Victories’ in Season 3 of ‘Beast Wars’. In this episode, we resolve the story arc involving the mysterious aliens that appeared in ‘Chain of Command’, ‘The Trigger’, ‘Other Voices’ and ‘Other Visits’. We also have the return of Tigatron and Airazor, who were captured by the mysterious aliens in ‘Other Visits’. Will Tigatron and Airazor’s return to ‘Beast Wars’ be very satisfying? Will the story arc involving the mysterious aliens be resolved in a very satisfying manner, despite this being a single-episode story and not a two-part story? I first saw ‘Other Victories’ as the first of the last three episodes of Season 3 of ‘Beast Wars’ on Volume 4 of the four official ‘Beast Wars’ VHS releases containing Season 3 episodes that had never been shown before via GMTV in the UK. I’ve also seen ‘Other Victories’ in the ‘Beast Wars’ 15th anniversary DVD box set, and it can now be seen on YouTube. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the first episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. It’s time to check out ‘Space Babies’ by Russell T. Davies, which was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 11th of May 2024. ‘Space Babies’ was the first in a double bill of ‘Doctor Who’ episodes shown on the 11th of May – the second one being ‘The Devil’s Chord’. I’ve had time to process and reflect on my thoughts on ‘Space Babies’ as well as the rest of Series 14. I’ve certainly more to say about this episode compared to when I did my spoiler-free reaction video on both ‘Space Babies’ and ‘The Devil’s Chord’ back in May 2024. Continue reading
