Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, yeah! We’re getting a ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special after all. And in the form of a Big Finish audio drama, which will be streamed live on the official ‘Doctor Who’ YouTube channel on Tuesday 22nd December 2026. 🙂 We’re now living in such exciting times, aren’t we? 😀

The ‘Doctor Who’ audio Christmas Special is called ‘The Wash’, starring Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor and Carole Ann Ford as Susan. I didn’t expect us to be getting a ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special anytime soon, but I’m glad we’re going to get it.

It will be fascinating to check it out on YouTube when it comes in December 2026 and no doubt, my parents and I will be watching and listening to it over the Christmas holidays. It should be an exciting story where the Ninth Doctor reunites with his granddaughter Susan.

I’m still planning to check out and do a quick review on the ‘Power of the Daleks’ fan-film, starring Nick Scovell as the Doctor. And hopefully, I’ll be doing at least a quick review on ‘The Wash’ Christmas Special before I later receive the CD release of the story in the post.

As to whether I’ll be checking out the CBeebies series ‘TARDIS Crew’ or not, well, I’ll be open-minded about it and wait until it becomes available on BBC iPlayer. There’s still plenty of ‘Doctor Who’ content to check out in the meantime, including some Nyssa adventures.

I’ll be sharing my mini-review season of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ from December 2026 to January 2027. I’ve made a start on preparing for that mini-review season. In the meantime, it looks like Christmas 2026 will be very exciting for ‘Doctor Who’ fans after all. 🙂

Check out the links via the Big Finish and the official ‘Doctor Who’ page for more information about the upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special called ‘The Wash’, starring Christopher Eccleston and Carole Ann Ford.

Thanks for reading and watching!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂
