Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Empire of Death’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At long last! 🙂 I get to share my latest video with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’)! We recorded this video sketch at the ‘Festival of the Time Lords’ convention at Newark Showground in Newark back in May 2026. It was a great opportunity for me to do a video with Sarah about the fact that there are now two ‘Empire of Death’ books in ‘Doctor Who’, including the BBC Book by David Bishop, featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa, and the Target novelization by Scott Handcock, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby. It’s taken me a while to share this video by going through the ‘Space Babies’, ’73 Yards’, ‘Rogue’ and ‘Empire of Death’ Target novelizations, but I’m glad to be sharing this video with Sarah at last! Thanks to my best friend from school – Stephen Buckley – for being the cameraman when Sarah and I did our video. I hope everyone enjoys the video! 🙂 Continue reading

‘Star Trek Continues’ Review #10 – ‘To Boldly Go’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done it! I’ve finished revisiting the ‘Star Trek Continues’ series and today, I’m sharing my review on the two-part finale ‘To Boldly Go’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’! I’m so pleased that I’ve been able to share my individual reviews on the 10 stories featured in this fan-made series to celebrate the 60th anniversary of ‘Star Trek’. There was a concern on my part that I wasn’t going to achieve sharing my individual reviews on the ‘Star Trek Continues’ series in time for every week since I began this marathon of reviews in July 2026. I’m very glad that I’m at a point where I can say I’ve shared my reviews on every story of the 11-episode series of ‘Star Trek Continues’ every week. It’s been an enjoyable challenge, and I hope you’ll enjoy my thoughts on how the series concludes in the two-part finale. ‘To Boldy Go’ is a very special two-part finale, especially as it features special guest star Nicola Bryant, who is well-known for playing Peri Brown in ‘Doctor Who’. The two-part finale also stars Vic Mignogna as Captain Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Mr. Spock, Chuck Huber as Dr. McCoy, Chris Doohan as Scotty, Grant Imahara as Sulu, Kim Stinger as Uhura, Wyatt Lenhart as Chekov and Michele Specht as Dr. McKennah. ‘Star Trek Continues’ Review #9 – ‘What Ships Are For’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, it’s August Bank Holiday Monday in the UK today! 🙂 What better way to commemorate the occasion by sharing my latest review on the ninth episode of ‘Star Trek Continues’, the fan-made series that’s a continuation of the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series featuring Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy, Scotty and the crew of the starship Enterprise. We’re coming to the end of ‘Star Trek Continues’, as this is the penultimate story in the series. It’s been a challenge to share my reviews on the ‘Star Trek Continues’ episodes every week, but I’ve greatly enjoyed it and hope to finish off my reviews on the series by sharing the final review on the two-part finale ‘To Boldy Go’ next week. In the meantime, let’s check out ‘What Ships Are For’, which is an episode where the Enterprise crew visit a world devoid of colour. John de Lancie, well-known for playing Q in ‘Star Trek’, makes a special guest appearance in this episode. The episode also stars Vic Mignogna as Captain Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Mr. Spock, Chuck Huber as Dr. McCoy, Chris Doohan as Scotty, Grant Imahara as Sulu, Kim Stinger as Uhura, Wyatt Lenhart as Chekov and Michele Specht as Dr. McKennah.
