Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s time for another interview with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’), who I saw recently at ‘Wigan Comic Con Summer 2026’ at the Robin Park Sports Centre in Wigan in September 2026. In my latest interview with Sarah, we chat about her dual appearance as Nyssa and Ann Talbot in the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Black Orchid’, which was shown in March 1982. Continue reading

Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Empire of Death’
Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
At long last! 🙂 I get to share my latest video with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’)! We recorded this video sketch at the ‘Festival of the Time Lords’ convention at Newark Showground in Newark back in May 2026. It was a great opportunity for me to do a video with Sarah about the fact that there are now two ‘Empire of Death’ books in ‘Doctor Who’, including the BBC Book by David Bishop, featuring the Fifth Doctor and Nyssa, and the Target novelization by Scott Handcock, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby. It’s taken me a while to share this video by going through the ‘Space Babies’, ’73 Yards’, ‘Rogue’ and ‘Empire of Death’ Target novelizations, but I’m glad to be sharing this video with Sarah at last! Thanks to my best friend from school – Stephen Buckley – for being the cameraman when Sarah and I did our video. I hope everyone enjoys the video! 🙂 Continue reading
Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Rogue’
Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s time for me to share my latest review on the ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook of ‘Rogue’ from Series 14 of the new TV series, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday. It’s taken me about a month and two days to check out this ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook. It’s certainly been a fascinating dive into the world of ‘Rogue’ in prose/audiobook form compared to checking out the TV episode. The book is by Kate Herron and Briony Redman, the original authors of the TV episode. The unabridged audiobook of ‘Rogue’ is read by Dan Starkey, who is well-known for playing the Sontarans in the new TV series and the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’. Continue reading

Here we are again with another review of a ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook from Series 14 of the new TV series, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday. Today, it’s time to check out the Target novelization/audiobook of ’73 Yards’ by Scott Handcock, based on the TV script by Russell T. Davies. Scott Handcock was the script editor on ’73 Yards’ as well as for the whole of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. He has also directed some Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’, including the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Marc audio stories and ‘The War Master’ audio series, starring Sir Derek Jacobi as the War Master.
