Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s time for another interview with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’), who I saw recently at ‘Wigan Comic Con Summer 2026’ at the Robin Park Sports Centre in Wigan in September 2026. In my latest interview with Sarah, we chat about her dual appearance as Nyssa and Ann Talbot in the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Black Orchid’, which was shown in March 1982. Continue reading

After finishing my in-depth reviews on Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, it’s time for me to share my latest review on the exclusive BBC iPlayer series ‘Tales of the TARDIS’. This was to celebrate the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ back in November 2023. Originally six episodes, this is now a seven-episode series with its seventh being a special one released in June 2024 between the Series 14 two-part finale ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’/’Empire of Death’. Happy Good Friday, everyone! 🙂 It’s time to continue our look into the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume Two’ collection of ‘Doctor Who’ audio stories! I’ll be updating my reviews on Season 21 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series based on its ‘Collection’ Blu-ray box set sometime soon. Before that happens though, let’s check out the 1995 abridged audiobook of the Target novelization ‘Doctor Who – Warriors of the Deep’ by Terrance Dicks, read by Peter Davison. My review on the 1995 abridged audiobook has been added to my ‘Warriors of the Deep’ page, which also contains a review of the TV story and a review on the Target novelization and the 2023 unabridged audiobook, read by Janet Fielding. The story features the Fifth Doctor, Tegan, Turlough, the Silurians, the Sea Devils and the Myrka. Continue reading

To commemorate my first meeting with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa of Traken in ‘Doctor Who’) at the ‘Fifth Element’ convention in February 2010, here’s a brand-new video containing my reactions to Season 20 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, originally shared from March to June 2025. This was when I was updating my reviews on the stories of Season 20 of the classic TV series during that year, based on ‘The Collection’ Blu-ray box set that was released in 2023. Continue reading

Happy New Year everyone! 🙂 And on the 1st of January 2026, it’s time for the final instalment of the latest ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season of ‘Doctor Who’ stories, which I’ve shared from December 2025 to January 2026. It’s time for the BBC Children’s Books adventure called ‘Doctor Who in Wonderland’ by Paul Magrs, featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Turlough, which is set between ‘Mawdryn Undead’ and ‘Terminus’. I’d been meaning to read this story for the 2024 to 2025 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season when the book was published in July 2024. I wasn’t able to find the time to check out the book, but thankfully, I’ve been able to find time and read the book for the 2025 to 2026 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
At last! I’m up to date with checking out the latest Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’ featuring Sarah Sutton as Nyssa in this year’s ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from December 2025 to January 2026. And I’ve checked out the most epic Big Finish audio story of ‘Doctor Who’ ever made, which is spread out across two box sets, both on CD and as a download. It’s time for ‘Hooklight’, an epic 12-part ‘Doctor Who’ audio adventure by Tim Foley, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Janet Fielding as Tegan Jovanka and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric. I’m so pleased I’ve been able to check out and do a brand-new review on the epic 12-part story at last! Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
I know I shared my review on this ‘Doctor Who’ story last year, but since this six-part audio adventure leads directly into the next story ‘Hooklight’, which is a twelve-part audio adventure, I decided to revisit it in order to be familiar with what went on in that story as well as what happened at the end. Hopefully, it’ll prepare me in terms of what to expect when it comes to checking out and reviewing ‘Hooklight’. Anyway, for today’s instalment of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’, let’s revisit ‘The Great Beyond’ by James Kettle, starring Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Janet Fielding as Tegan and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric.
