Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

It’s time for me to share the rest of ‘Part One’ and all of ‘Part Two’ of my latest ‘Doctor Who’ story in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series called ‘Swing Time’. This four-part story has the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy meeting Judy Garland along with Mickey Rooney aboard a ocean cruise ship in 1939.

I know I’ve been behind on sharing my latest ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Swing Time’ since I shared my preview for it in September 2025. Hopefully, by the time we get to end of 2026, I’ll be sharing ‘Parts Three and Four’ of the story. In the meantime, I hope you’ll enjoy the first half of this musical ‘Doctor Who’ adventure by me featuring the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy. It’s a fun-filled ride and one that will contain some unexpected surprises.

Here’s a summary of what ‘Swing Time’ is all about.

Los Angeles, USA, Earth, 1939. The TARDIS arrives on an ocean cruiser in the summer of 1939, where Nyssa and Billy have their honeymoon. They meet many people, including Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney. Suddenly, the cruiser gets caught in a wormhole and is transported through Space and Time to another ocean world with beaches where it’s deserted. The Doctor senses something is wrong, as a dodgy business transaction involving alien technology occurs in connection to Earth and an identity crisis takes place. Pretty soon, the Doctor, Nyssa and Billy are accused of the crime.

Please check out the link to ‘Swing Time’ where you can find the introduction to the story by me as well as ‘Parts One and Two’. ‘Part One’ contains the prologue and the first four chapters of the story, whilst ‘Part Two’ contains the second four chapters of the story. You can access the introduction, the prologue and the chapters in ‘Parts One and Two’ of the story by clicking on the available links on the ‘Swing Time’ page. There’s also a link to the ‘Song Lyrics’ page of ‘Swing Time’, since this happens to be a musical ‘Doctor Who’ adventure.

Enjoy!

Stay tuned for ‘Parts Three and Four’ of ‘Swing Time’ coming soon to ‘Bradley’s Basement’.
