Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
This is a film adaptation that I’ve been looking forward to seeing since it was first announced back in 2023. I hoped this would be an exciting and thrilling adaptation of the first chronological story in ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ called ‘The Magician’s Nephew’. Continue reading

As part of the ‘Star Trek’ 60th anniversary celebrations, I’ve decided to check out the movie novelization of ‘Star Trek: The Motion Picture’ by Gene Roddenberry, based on the screenplay by Harold Livingston and the story by Alan Dean Foster. I’m basing my review on the 40th anniversary edition of the movie novelization, which was released in 2019. It’s taken me seven years to check out the 40th anniversary edition, but I’m glad to be checking it out along with the unabridged audiobook read by Robert Petkoff for the TV show’s 60th anniversary. I think it’s fair to say that every September, it’s a time to celebrate Jane Austen. That was certainly the case when I was in Bath last year and I saw a theatre production of ‘Emma’. It’s also because the world-famous Jane Austen Festival gets to be held annually in Bath. Continue reading

It’s that time of the year for me where I share a blog post or a review to commemorate my sister Bethan, who sadly passed away when I was small. Today is her birthday! She would’ve been 39 today. One of her favourite Disney animated films when growing up was the 1953 film ‘Peter Pan’. Continue reading

As part of my 60th anniversary celebrations of ‘Star Trek’ in 2026, I decided to revisit the fourth film of the ‘Star Trek’ film series – ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home’ – at the cinema last Friday. It was great to see this movie on the big screen, since it’s one of my favourites. Continue reading

A couple of weekends ago, I revisited the film ‘Muppet Treasure Island’ on Disney+. This is a film that means a lot to me, especially when getting to know the works of author Robert Louis Stevenson. I love ‘Muppet Treasure Island’ and have seen it umpteen times. Continue reading

So, I’m currently revisiting ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogies in their extended forms, as my parents and I usually do every year. Having just finished ‘The Hobbit’ film trilogy, it’s a good opportunity to share thoughts on an upcoming 2027 movie. Continue reading
