‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Delta and the Bannermen’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to have a look at my favourite story out of Season 24 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Bonnie Langford as Mel. Today, it’s time for ‘Delta and the Bannermen’, a three-part adventure by Malcolm Kohll. Most of this story takes place at a holiday camp in South Wales in 1959. There are special guest stars like Don Henderson, Belinda Mayne, Richard Davies, Stubby Kaye, Morgan Dearne, Hugh Lloyd, Sara Griffiths and of course Ken Dodd. This is definitely a classic ‘Doctor Who’ adventure to check out during a summer heatwave. 😀 ‘Delta and the Bannermen’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Continue reading →

This story was released in September 2008, and it happens to be Katy Manning’s first return to play Jo Grant in ‘Doctor Who’. Continue reading →

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

After three years since I last went to Amroth for a week’s holiday in April 2019, my parents and I returned to Amroth in West Wales for the first time in a long while. It was nice to revisit Amroth again as well as Wiseman’s Bridge, Saundersfoot and Tenby after going through the two Covid years. Continue reading →

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last Friday, I saw a movie on Disney+ that was initially released at cinemas in the USA on Christmas Day in December 2008, before it was released at cinemas in the UK at the Glasgow Film Festival in February 2009 (which is odd, come to think about it). This is the comedy-drama film ‘Marley & Me’. Continue reading →

It’s been a while since I did one of these. 😀 After attending the ‘London Comic Con Spring’ last weekend, my parents and I spent some time in London at two tourist attractions before we went home. We visited the London Dungeon and Madame Tussauds. They were amazing experiences! 🙂 Continue reading →

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve now read and heard the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Delta and the Bannermen’ by Malcolm Kohll. The story features the Seventh Doctor and Mel meeting Delta as well as Billy, Ray, Burton, Murray, Weismuller, Hawk and Goronwy. They end up at the Shangri-La holiday camp in South Wales where Gavrok and the Bannermen attack. The audiobook for ‘Doctor Who – Delta and the Bannermen’ is read by Bonnie Langford who plays Mel in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. Continue reading →
