‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 26 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Season 26 – the third and final season of the Sylvester McCoy/Seventh Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ – is a season where the show was getting to find its feet again on arguably what stories it could have told in the 1990s. This is thanks to how script editor Andrew Cartmel handled things with the stories. Continue reading

And welcome to Season 26 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s Sylvester McCoy’s third and final season as the Seventh Doctor, and it’s the final season of the classic TV series. Today, we’re starting the season off with ‘Battlefield’, a four-part story by Ben Aaronovitch, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. This story is a U.N.I.T. adventure, featuring the return of Nicholas Courtney as Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart and it introduces Angela Bruce as Brigadier Winifred Bambera. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Silver Nemesis’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Whilst ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ is one of the stories of the 25th anniversary season of ‘Doctor Who’ – Season 25 – it’s not the actual anniversary story to celebrate 25 years of the show. It’s actually ‘Silver Nemesis’, a three-part adventure by Kevin Clarke, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. The TARDIS duo find themselves up against Neo-Nazis, Lady Peniforte and Cybermen, when on a quest to search for a living metal statue called Nemesis. Is this a worthy anniversary story to celebrate 25 years of ‘Doctor Who’, or do I think ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’ is better? ‘Silver Nemesis’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – Season 20 Summary

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Whilst Season 19 is my favourite season out of the Peter Davison/Fifth Doctor era, Season 20 is arguably my second favourite season. I acknowledge that Season 20 had its problems, particularly in the production values affected by industrial action, but I enjoyed this season more than Season 21. 🙂 Continue reading

There’s also Janet Fielding as Tegan, Mark Strickson as Turlough, Carole Ann Ford as Susan, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith, Lalla Ward as Romana and more. Season 13 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series is where the Tom Baker/Philip Hinchcliffe era comes into full swing. This is where the gothic horror era of ‘Doctor Who’ is prominent, thanks to the efforts of script editor Robert Holmes. This is quite evident when one watches the entire Season 13. Continue reading

Tom Baker’s first season of ‘Doctor Who’ is undeniably a memorable season, featuring his Fourth Doctor against a plethora of monsters for us audiences to enjoy.
