BB@10 – Reflection on YouTube

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Whilst I run most of my blog via WordPress, I’ve also been able to share my thoughts in reviews via videos on my YouTube channel. I created my YouTube account in 2012, but it was in 2015 where I began creating and sharing videos online and I find this pretty amazing. Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on Novelizations

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

You may have noticed that I’ve done plenty of reviews on novelizations, whether it’d be for movies and TV shows like ‘Doctor Who’. For the majority of reviews I’ve done on novelizations, they’ve been about ‘Doctor Who’, which I’ve really enjoyed checking out. 🙂 Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on ‘Back to the Future’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, I’m taking my Mum to see the stage musical production of the first ‘Back to the Future’ movie at the Adelphi Theatre in London. Whether I’ll do another review on it, I don’t know, as I previously saw ‘Back to the Future – The Musical’ in London this August. Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on ‘The Nyssa Challenge’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

One of the things I’m very pleased about regarding my blog is how I’ve been able to share my reviews on the ‘Doctor Who’ stories featuring Nyssa of Traken (played by Sarah Sutton in the TV series and the Big Finish audios) via ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ for about every year. Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on ‘Transformers’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

One of the things I’m very pleased about in terms of an achievement in early 2022, is the fact that I was able to do in-depth reviews on the live-action ‘Transformers’ movies up until that point, including the five films directed by Michael Bay, which I found rather gruelling. Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on Conventions

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I started going to conventions in February 2010 with ‘Fifth Element’ at Chiswick in London. It’s amazing to think that I’ve been to so many conventions over the years and have interacted with many celebrities who’ve been in ‘Doctor Who’ as well as the fans. Continue reading

BB@10 – Reflection on ‘Doctor Who Timelines’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

One of my biggest achievements on ‘Bradley’s Basement’, and it’s probably the main reason why my blog has lasted for 10 years, is the fact I’ve created ‘Doctor Who’ timelines for almost every character that appears in the TV series – both classic and new. Continue reading

This year, it’s my blog’s 10th anniversary! 🙂 To celebrate the occasion, I’ve decided to share a series of blog posts containing reflections on how much I’ve achieved with my blog these past 10 years. There’s plenty to talk about, so let me share some highlights. 🙂 Continue reading

Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Vengeance on Varos’ (1997)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve checked out and reviewed the 1997 abridged audiobook of the Target novelization of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, read by Colin Baker, who plays the Sixth Doctor in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. The audiobook is included in the ‘Tales From The TARDIS: Volume Two’ collection via Audible. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri as well as the greedy Sil. Continue reading

Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Vengeance on Varos’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to delve into the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Vengeance on Varos’ by Philip Martin, based on the original TV scripts. The Target novelization was published in June 1988, three years after the TV story was transmitted in January 1985. The story features the Sixth Doctor and Peri where they visit Varos and encounter the slimy Sil. I’ve greatly enjoyed checking out the Target novelization, along with the 2019 unabridged audiobook read by Martin Jarvis, who played the Governor in the TV story. Over the years, I’ve considered ‘Vengeance on Varos’ a decent ‘Doctor Who’ story featuring themes of how violence can used as entertainment for TV audiences. Continue reading
