Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
After doing my in-depth reviews on Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday, it’s time for us to check out the Target novelizations/audiobooks of the Series 14 ‘Doctor Who’ stories, which were released in 2024 and 2025. They include ‘Space Babies’, ’73 Yards’, ‘Rogue’ and ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’/’Empire of Death’. For the first Target novelization/audiobook on ‘Space Babies’, the book is by Alison Rumfitt, who is brand-new to the Target novelization range of ‘Doctor Who’.
The novelization is based on the TV script by Russell T. Davies, and the audiobook is read by Clare Corbett, who also read ‘The Good Doctor’ audiobook, featuring the Thirteenth Doctor, Graham, Ryan and Yaz. I purchased the paperback edition of the ‘Space Babies’ Target novelization along with the unabridged BBC audiobook via Audible. I’ve enjoyed the ‘Space Babies’ Target novelization in prose and on audio, but does Alison Rumfitt’s book change my mind on how I feel about ‘Space Babies’ as the opening story to Ncuti Gatwa’s first season as the Fifteenth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’? What differences can be found in the Target novelization compared to seeing the TV episode?
The novelization/audiobook review has been added to my TV review of ‘Space Babies’. Please feel free to check out, read and comment on my review by clicking on the link for it. You can purchase the novelization/audiobook of ‘Doctor Who – Space Babies’ either from Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.com or Audible.co.uk.
Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Tim. 🙂
