‘Star Trek Continues’ Review #1 – ‘Pilgrim of Eternity’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This year, it’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Star Trek’! 🙂 To celebrate the occasion, I’ve decided to do individual reviews on the episodes of the fan-made series ‘Star Trek Continues’, which was released from 2013 to 2017. Back in 2024, I did a quick review on ‘Star Trek Continues’ after having seen all the 11 episodes on YouTube. It’s nice to revisit this series, as it feels so authentic in being like the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series with Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and Scotty. I wanted to celebrate the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series specifically for its 60th anniversary and doing individual reviews on the episodes of ‘Star Trek Continues’ is a great way for me to do it. 🙂

The first episode of ‘Star Trek Continues’ is ‘Pilgrim of Eternity’ and it happens to be a sequel to the Season 2 episode of the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series ‘Who Mourns For Adonais?’. The episode’s special guest star is Michael Forrest, who reprises his role as Apollo from ‘Who Mourns For Adonais?’. The regular cast includes Vic Mignogna (who developed ‘Star Trek Continues’) as Captain Kirk, Todd Haberkorn as Mr. Spock, Larry Nemecek as Dr. McCoy and Chris Doohan (the son of Scotty actor James Doohan) as Scotty. There’s also Grant Imahara as Sulu, Kim Stinger as Uhura and Wyatt Lenhart as Chekov. We also have the introduction of Michele Specht as Dr. Elise McKennah, the Enterprise’s new ship’s counsellor.

Check out the episode ‘Pilgrim of Eternity’ via the ‘Star Trek Continues’ official YouTube channel. Also check out my review on the episode by clicking on the link for it afterwards.

Enjoy!

Thanks for watching and reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂

Yes! That was a nice surprise, and I am still particularly charmed by who got to play Lana in the two-part finale. That looked like a very fun role to play.

          Hi Wolfie,

Oh yes! It was nice to see two familiar faces from a TV show we know and love appearing in a ‘Star Trek’ fan-made series. 🙂 I’ve just revisited the third episode of ‘Star Trek Continues’. I’m looking forward to putting together my review on the episode very soon.

          Best wishes,

          Tim 🙂
