‘RHINO’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

The ‘Spider-Man’ 1960s series is getting ridiculous by this stage. My Dad suggests that the producers of the series reused animation from previous ‘Spider-Man’ episodes in the knowledge that they won’t be used again, not foreseeing future DVD releases. Okay, I guess that’s a fair argument here. 🙂
But I have major issues with the story called ‘Rhino’ which reuses footage from two Season 1 episodes ‘Horn of the Rhino’ and ‘The Golden Rhino’. How can the makers of this series think we wouldn’t have seen that before? Also, the animation for this episode is very confusing thinking about it.
The Rhino once again steals gold shipments with which he builds a 14 karat statue of himself. Didn’t the Rhino learn his lesson from doing that last time as he failed in ‘The Golden Rhino’? Also, how can Spider-Man forget who the Rhino was on a train track after facing him at an International Exchange?
I mean, you could argue those brilliant animated Season 1 scenes of Spidey and the Rhino are meant to be flashbacks, but it doesn’t come across like that. Also, when the Rhino glorifies in beating Spider-Man, he’s quickly caught. It’s like there was no build-up. It was all too quick the Rhino got defeated!
‘Rhino’ rating – 1/10
