‘THE MADNESS OF MYSTERIO’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

This story really annoyed me! Apparently ‘The Madness of Mysterio’ is based on a story of the same name featured in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man #66’ comic. Okay, I’ll give the series credit that they’re basing one of their stories off from the comics. But there’s an issue. Mysterio doesn’t look like him here!
Last time we saw Mysterio in ‘The Menace of Mysterio’, he was a short man with a bowl hair cut, pointed ears and normal skin colour, looking like Mr. Spock in ‘Star Trek’ in fact. Here, he’s a tall man with red hair and green skin. ARGH!!!! How come he has changed so incredibly from the last time?!
What’s even annoying is that Peter Parker/Spider-Man and J. Jonah Jameson recognise him as Mysterio, but he’s not even wearing the chrome dome on his head! Spidey even calls Mysterio ‘chrome dome’ despite never appearing in costume. Did the series makers do a complete muck-up?!!
It’s like he was supposed to be a new character in the episode and not be called Mysterio but was changed at the last moment. I’ve never been so disappointed by an episode like this where Mysterio looks nothing like Mysterio. It’s very frustrating and shows how lazy this series has turned out to be.
‘The Madness of Mysterio’ rating – 0.5/10
