‘THE GOLDEN RHINO’

This ‘Spider-Man’ story has our webslinger hero fighting against the Rhino again and this time, the Rhino makes a gold statue of himself. Odd, I thought we might get two Rhinos in this story – one the grey one and one the gold one. I wasn’t expecting there to be a gold statue of the Rhino made here.

Just in case you aren’t aware, I am finding these ‘Spider-Man’ stories quite ridiculous. This is especially when you consider the Rhino stealing plenty of gold bars for an International Exchange. They even had ‘International Exchange’ written on the boxes of these gold bars for everyone to see.

I also find the Rhino rather ridiculous in terms of facial expressions and how he speaks. In fact, many of the characters in the ‘Spider-Man’ series do that. I know it’s a cartoon show, but many of the ‘Spider-Man’ characters are bland and bizarre, especially as they express themselves in the stories. 😐

Spider-Man also keeps saying “Walloping Websnappers!” as his catchphrase in the series. Sometimes that makes me cringe and reminds me of the ‘Batman’ 1960s TV series with Adam West. I wouldn’t mind that a lot but I wish the stories were live-action in order to appreciate the comedy.
