‘BLUEPRINT FOR CRIME’

Please feel free to comment on my review.

In this next story in the ‘Spider-Man’ series, a mastermind called the Plotter (yes, I know how ridiculous that sounds) uses a cowboy called Jackson Brice and a dumb-looking thug called Raymond Bloch to find blueprints to destroy New York. Why that is, I don’t know as it’s never really explained.

What’s unusual is that the Plotter works from a haunted castle, I believe, and for the majority of the story we only see the back of his head. It’s as if we’re meant to be surprised by this villain’s reveal once we saw his face. Except when he’s revealed, he’s not very interesting to look at as a villain here.

If the Plotter was the Kingpin, maybe that would be more interesting. If the Plotter was a evil double of Professor Xavier from the X-Men, maybe that would be more interesting. It was funny when Ox/Raymond Bloch is acting all dumb-like and he seems very obsessed with eating lots of food.

In the end, it’s up to Spider-Man to foil and neutralise the evil plan of the Enforcers (yeah that’s what their team name is called). Sometimes the humour comes across once Spidey has one remaining blueprint that the Enforcers forgot to take and it’s up to the webslinger to catch them out.

‘Blueprint For Crime’ rating – 6/10
