Hello everyone.
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.
I’m saddened by the news that Richard Franklin passed away on Christmas Day in December 2023. Richard played Captain Mike Yates in the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor in the early 1970s. I’ve greatly enjoyed Richard Franklin playing Mike in ‘Doctor Who’. 🙂 Continue reading

It’s sad that Stephen Greif has passed away recently. 🙁 I’ll always remember him for playing Kwundaar in the ‘Doctor Who’ audio drama ‘Primeval’ by Big Finish. For ‘Blake’s 7’ fans, he’ll always be remembered for being the first actor to play Commander Travis in Series 1 of the UK sci-fi series. Continue reading
Hello everyone.
On my return trip home from attending a convention in London last Sunday, I was shocked to discover that Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver in ‘Power Rangers’, died at 49. It’s so sad to hear the circumstances of his death, as I enjoyed ‘Power Rangers’ as well as Jason David Frank being Tommy. Continue reading

I’m saddened to share the news that Nichelle Nichols, who played Lt. Uhura in the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series, has passed away. I enjoyed her in the original ‘Star Trek’ series as well as the six ‘Star Trek’ films featuring the original series cast. My memories of her as Lt. Uhura are very happy ones. 🙂 Continue reading

Not only has David Warner passed away recently, but so has Bernard Cribbins. 🙁 I’m saddened Bernard Cribbins is no longer with us. I saw him recently on the big screen when checking out the two ‘Doctor Who’ films with Peter Cushing as well as 1970’s ‘The Railway Children’ on Prime Video. Continue reading

Apparently, it’s been four years since the Divergent Wordsmiths started. I’ve contributed short stories to their collections over the years, including ‘Psychic Image’ for ‘Genesis of Terror’, ‘The Crimson Lion’ and ‘The Popiz’ for ‘The Paul Spragg ReCollections’, and ‘The City of the Bad Wolf’ and ‘Into the Death-Space’ for ‘Unbound Imaginings, Volume 2’. I’m pleased to have written those stories. Continue reading

I want to share how saddened I am to hear the news that Jackie Lane, the actress who played Dodo Chaplet in ‘Doctor Who’, has passed away recently. I didn’t get to meet her at conventions, which is a shame since I would have liked to have shared with Jackie how much I’ve enjoyed her as Dodo. 🙁 Continue reading

There have been a lot of deaths in 2020 – please keep safe. As I’m currently revisiting the ‘Star Wars’ movies and enjoying ‘The Mandalorian’ series on Disney+, it’s very sad for me to hear the news that David Prowse, the original actor who played Darth Vader in the original ‘Star Wars’ trilogy and Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett in the original trilogy have passed away recently this year.
