Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Last year, I saw the Disney/Pixar film called ‘Soul’, which was released via Disney+ on Christmas Day 2020. This year, I saw the film called ‘Encanto’, which was initially released for a short period of time at cinemas in November 2021 before it was soon re-released via Disney+ on Christmas Eve in 2021. 🙂 Continue reading →

Quick Movie Review – ‘Enchanted’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’d like to share some thoughts on a movie I’ve seen recently on Disney+. This is ‘Enchanted’, a 2007 film which I saw on the big screen when it came out in November/December of that year. My parents saw the film for the first time on Disney+ and they greatly enjoyed it. I’m very glad they did. Continue reading →

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve seen another film on Disney+ called ‘The Country Bears’. This film was released in 2002 and it’s a musical road comedy directed by Peter Hastings. It happens to be based on the Disney theme park attraction called ‘Country Bear Jamboree’. I’ve yet to attend Disneyland and its various attractions. 🙂 Continue reading →

And welcome to the fourth and final instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!

To conclude this film review season, I’m tackling the 1954 film ‘A Star is Born’, starring Judy Garland and James Mason. This is considered one of Judy Garland’s best works in film and is an epic classic. It’s also one out of four films made under the same name, though I haven’t seen the other three films yet. Movie Review – ‘High School Musical’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Yes! You’re seeing this right! I’ve seen the movie ‘High School Musical’! It’s ironic to be talking about this movie. For a while, I wasn’t particularly interested in seeing it. It’s clearly had a fan-base since its release on the Disney Channel in 2006. I’m amazed by how much of an impact it’s had pretty lately. Continue reading →

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the third instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!

It’s time to take a look at a film featuring Judy Garland which was made in 1950. This film is called ‘Summer Stock’ and it has her pairing up with Gene Kelly, who is well-known for starring in the 1952 film ‘Singin’ in the Rain’. Judy and Gene worked together before in the 1942 film called ‘For Me and My Gal’. Continue reading →

DVD Review – ‘Presenting Lily Mars’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the second instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!

We’re going back in time to before Judy Garland did ‘Easter Parade’ with Fred Astaire and to one of her earliest and perhaps breakthrough films which arguably features her first adult-type role. Unless you consider ‘For Me and My Gal’ to be her first adult-type role, but I’ll have to watch and review that film another time. Continue reading →

And welcome to the first instalment of this year’s ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’!

As it’s Easter Monday today, I thought it’d be good to start off the ‘Judy Garland Film Review Season’ by looking into an Easter movie called ‘Easter Parade’. This 1948 film stars Judy Garland and Fred Astaire in their only film outing together. My parents and I enjoyed watching this film in 2020 and recently for 2021. Continue reading →

DVD Review – ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve created a new Musicals page on ‘Bradley’s Basement’! I’ve also done a review on the 1938 film ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’. The film is based on the musical number by Irving Berlin, who provides the songs, the score and the story here. I enjoyed watching ‘Alexander’s Ragtime Band’ during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 – please keep safe. Continue reading →
