This happens to be an origin story for Willy Wonka, a character in the 1964 book ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ by Roald Dahl. It’s funny. For a long time, I’ve never considered the idea of Roald Dahl‘s ‘Matilda’ being a musical that seriously. The stage show had a trial run in Stratford-upon-Avon from 2010 to 2011 before it had its West End premiere in 2011. Apparently, it’s a popular stage show, yet I’ve not seen it myself. It’s amazing to think that it’s been 15 years since the film ‘Enchanted’ was made in 2007. I’ve now seen ‘Disenchanted’, the sequel to ‘Enchanted’, which was released on Disney+ in 2022. I’m amazed this film was only released exclusively to Disney+, since it could have had a limited theatrical release. Continue reading

So, this is a musical film that I saw on Disney+ last Friday. Apparently, ‘Into the Woods’ was released at cinemas in December 2014 and is based on the 1986 Broadway musical of the same name.
