‘THE SKY IS FALLING’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

This ‘Spider-Man’ story features the first appearance of the Vulture in the 1960s series. It’s not revealed that the Vulture is Adrian Toomes, though I believe it’s later revealed he’s Blackie Drago. I’m getting an impression that the 1990s TV series is more faithful to the comics than the 1960s one.
In the story, the Vulture uses a device on his helmet to control an army of birds – actual vultures I might add. Spidey tries all he can to defeat the Vulture, even getting a punch in the eye. Betty Brant and J. Jonah Jameson notice Peter’s really bruised eye when he comes into the Daily Bugle offices. 😀
After beating Spider-Man once, the Vulture holds New York City for a two million dollar ransom, letting the blame fall onto Spider-Man. Spidey however manages to sabotage the Vulture’s device and gets the actual vultures to attack him. Thankfully this is a cartoon and the Vulture will return! 😀
Spidey soon gives the ransom money back to Jameson through his office window. I do like how this corny ‘Spider-Man’ series has our hero being suspected of committing crimes and isn’t immediately hailed as a hero. Even though I think Jameson is rather too harsh and devious in condemning Spidey.
‘The Sky Is Falling’ rating – 7/10
