‘SUPER SWAMI’
Please feel free to comment on my review.

This ‘Spider-Man’ story has our webslinger fight a Chinese magician called Koga – also known as Super Swami, who wreaks havoc on New York City. I’ll give credit that the story is quite interesting in that a big eye in the sky can turn things invisible like bridges and huge snowstorms can be created. 🙂
I had no idea the Eye of Sauron made an appearance in this ‘Spidey’ story though. 😀 But the animation for this story is so clumsily handled that even the action scenes for the story’s climax are baffling. This is especially when Spidey tries to confuse Super Swami there’s more than one of him. 😐
This is through the use of mirrors by the way. And even when he’s not using mirrors, which was baffling when I saw it! Also Super Swami is too cartoony as a villainous character. That might have something to do with the racially insensitive aspects of the character since he’s a Chinese man after all.
A big fat Chinese man, I might add. I’m glad Super Swami didn’t return as a ‘Spider-Man’ villain after this. In fact, this is the point where I’ve lost faith in the 1960s ‘Spider-Man’ series. Maybe that’s not a surprise to you, but honestly the 1990s ‘Spider-Man’ TV series was more impressive than this series.
‘Super Swami’ rating – 4/10
