‘Star Trek Continues’ Review #1 – ‘Pilgrim of Eternity’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This year, it’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Star Trek’! 🙂 To celebrate the occasion, I’ve decided to do individual reviews on the episodes of the fan-made series ‘Star Trek Continues’, which was released from 2013 to 2017. Back in 2024, I did a quick review on ‘Star Trek Continues’ after having seen all the 11 episodes on YouTube. It’s nice to revisit this series, as it feels so authentic in being like the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series with Captain Kirk, Mr. Spock, Dr. McCoy and Scotty. I wanted to celebrate the original ‘Star Trek’ TV series specifically for its 60th anniversary and doing individual reviews on the episodes of ‘Star Trek Continues’ is a great way for me to do it. 🙂 Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Joy to the World’ (Doctor Who)

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Happy Birthday Millie! 🙂

It’s Christmas time! 🙂 Yeah, okay, we’re in June, not December, but I rarely share my reviews on ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Specials at Christmas time. 😀 And with the latest news we had on the 2026 ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special being cancelled, it’s only fair that we revisit and do an in-depth review on the previous ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special, which was released in December 2024, called ‘Joy to the World’ by Steven Moffat. I did my latest in-depth review on ‘Joy to the World’ based on its release in the Series 15/Season Two DVD box set of ‘Doctor Who’. The special stars Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and as well as this being the second and final Christmas Special of the Fifteenth Doctor era, it’s also the second and final Christmas Special of the neo-Russell T. Davies era. The special also stars Nicola Coughlan as Joy Almondo, who is the Doctor’s one-off companion. There’s also Jonathan Aris as Melnak, Joel Fry as Trev Simpkins and Steph de Whalley as Anita Benn. The special also includes a guest cameo of Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. 🙂 Continue reading

Series 14 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa on Blu-ray #7

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s an epic in-depth ‘Doctor Who’ review by me today! 😀 Today, it’s time to check out the seventh and final story of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. It’s time for the two-part finale ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’/’Empire of Death’ by Russell T. Davies. This story also features the return of Bonnie Langford as Melanie Bush, Jemma Redgrave as Kath Lethbridge-Stewart, Yasmin Finney as Rose Noble and the rest of the U.N.I.T. team for the neo-RTD era (except for Ruth Madeley as Shirley Ann Bingham, which is a shame – this will be explained in the review itself). I saw ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’ on TV on the 15th of June 2024 and I saw both ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’ and ‘Empire of Death’ at the cinema at midnight from the 21st leading into the 22nd June 2024. I did spoiler-free reactions on both ‘The Legend of Ruby Sunday’ and ‘Empire of Death’ at the time of seeing the episodes back in June 2024. What more do I have to say about this two-part finale in Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series? Continue reading

– – – BRAND NEW REVIEW – – –

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the sixth episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. It’s time to check out ‘Rogue’, a pseudo-historical adventure set in Regency times where the Doctor and Ruby attend a ball at a mansion. The episode is by Kate Herron (who directed Season 1 of the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ series ‘Loki’) and Briony Redman. ‘Rogue’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 8th of June 2024. I’ve been able to share more thoughts on ‘Rogue’ as a ‘Doctor Who’ episode in my latest in-depth review since doing my spoiler-free reaction video on ‘Rogue’ back in June 2024. What else do I have to say about the episode as well as sharing my in-depth thoughts on a certain cameo featured in the episode? Continue reading

‘Beast Wars: Transformers’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve realised it’s this TV show’s 30th anniversary this year! 😀 It’s also Spring Bank Holiday in May in the UK today! 🙂 It’s not been that long since I finished sharing my updated reviews on ‘Beast Wars: Transformers’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. So, here’s a chance to check out my updated ‘Beast Wars’ reviews again from the first two-part story called ‘Beast Wars’ in Season 1 to the two-part finale ‘Nemesis’ in Season 3. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for us to check out the fifth episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. This is a fascinating episode to check out in Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series as well as a very unnerving one. This is ‘Dot and Bubble’ by Russell T. Davies. ‘Dot and Bubble’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 1st of June 2024. It was after doing my spoiler-free reaction video on ‘Dot and Bubble’ back in June 2024 that I discovered this ‘Doctor Who’ episode was more than just warning us about the dangers of social media. What else does this ‘Doctor Who’ episode have to say to us? What is it that’s got people talking about it and why does it happen to be so unsettling? Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And here we are, everyone! We’ve finally made it! It’s time now to talk about the fourth episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. I’ve been waiting a long time to share my thoughts on this ‘Doctor Who’ episode, which happens to be ’73 Yards’ by Russell T. Davies. ’73 Yards’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 25th of May 2024. At the time I shared my spoiler-free reaction video on ’73 Yards’ back in May 2024, I didn’t know what to make of the episode when I first saw it, despite me enjoying Millie Gibson in the episode. Now I’ve had more time to think about the episode, what do I have to say about it? Has it won my approval or do I think this is an episode that could’ve been better handled? Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the third episode of Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, starring Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday. This week, we’re checking out ‘Boom’ by Steven Moffat, who was the showrunner for the Matt Smith/Eleventh Doctor and Peter Capaldi/Twelfth Doctor eras from 2010 to 2017. ‘Boom’ was shown via BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK and via Disney+ in non-UK parts of the world on the 18th of May 2024. I recall seeing this episode at a Premier Inn when I was away in Bolton with my best mate from school Stephen. Was Steven Moffat’s return to ‘Doctor Who’ truly worthwhile, as I indicated in my spoiler-free reaction video on ‘Boom’ back in May 2024? Do I still regard ‘Boom’ as the best episode featured in Series 14 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series? Continue reading
