It’s time for me to share my latest review on the ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook of ‘Rogue’ from Series 14 of the new TV series, featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday. It’s taken me about a month and two days to check out this ‘Doctor Who’ Target novelization/audiobook. It’s certainly been a fascinating dive into the world of ‘Rogue’ in prose/audiobook form compared to checking out the TV episode. The book is by Kate Herron and Briony Redman, the original authors of the TV episode. The unabridged audiobook of ‘Rogue’ is read by Dan Starkey, who is well-known for playing the Sontarans in the new TV series and the Big Finish audios of ‘Doctor Who’.

He’s also well-known for playing Strax the Sontaran in the Paternoster Gang along with Madame Vastra and Jenny Flint. This isn’t the first time that Dan Starkey has a done an audiobook reading for a Target novelization in the neo-Russell T. Davies era of ‘Doctor Who’. The first time was when he read the unabridged audiobook for ‘The Giggle’ Target novelization by James Goss. So, how much is different in the Target novelization of ‘Rogue’ compared to checking out the TV episode? How many additions are included in the Target novelization to develop the characters? Was I able to gain more out from the ‘Rogue’ Target novelization/audiobook compared to the TV episode?
