It turns out I did see the ‘Call the Midwife’ Christmas Special on Christmas Day in December 2023. It’s only fair I saw it with it being Christmas Day and all. I’ve seen the fourth Christmas Special of the ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ Channel 5 TV series, shown on the 21st of December 2023. I greatly enjoyed watching it! Well, I’ve seen it at last! I’ve seen ‘A Very Peculiar Practice’ on Britbox! This is a surreal black-comedy drama series that was shown on BBC TV in 1986 and 1988 with a TV movie in 1992. It stars Peter Davison – well-known for starring in the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and ‘Doctor Who’. 🙂 Continue reading

I don’t usually do reviews on medical dramas like ‘Casualty’, but pretty recently, at the time of this review, the classic 1989 episode (Series 4, Episode 6 to be specific) called ‘Charity’ was repeated on the Drama channel on UKTV. As it’s Good Friday tomorrow, it’s a good time to revisit two dramatised productions of the story of Jesus Christ and the wonderful miracles he performed. The two productions of Jesus’ story that I’ve reviewed include the 1977 TV mini-series ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, starring Robert Powell as Jesus, and the 1999/2000 animated film ‘The Miracle Maker’, featuring Ralph Fiennes as the voice of Jesus.
