Interview with Sarah Sutton – ‘The Moon Stallion’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, I’m sharing my latest interview with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’), who I saw recently at the ‘Exeter Comic Con and Gaming Festival Autumn’ at the Westpoint Arena in Exeter from Saturday the 12th to Sunday the 13th of October 2024. I recorded this interview with Sarah on the Saturday, as we chat about one of her celebrated TV roles before she played Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Partners In Crime’ (1983-84)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, back in 2022, I did a quick review on the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of ‘Partners In Crime’, featuring Agatha Christie‘s less well-known characters in crime English literature – Tommy and Tuppence – played by David Walliams and Jessica Raine. I enjoyed checking out that short-lived six-part TV series. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Today, I’m sharing my second to last review from the days when I used to do reviews on Amazon.co.uk. Over the years, I’ve transferred my old Amazon reviews and updated them for ‘Bradley’s Basement’. When my final Amazon review will be shared on my blog remains to be determined. It’s likely I’ll be sharing that review sometime in 2025 for ‘Bradley’s Basement’s 10th anniversary. Continue reading

Quick TV Review – ‘Call the Midwife’, Christmas Special 2023

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It turns out I did see the ‘Call the Midwife’ Christmas Special on Christmas Day in December 2023. It’s only fair I saw it with it being Christmas Day and all. For what it’s worth, this Christmas Special is pleasant enough. It was very enjoyable to revisit many familiar characters I’ve seen over the years. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick TV Series Review – ‘A Very Peculiar Practice’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, I’ve seen it at last! I’ve seen ‘A Very Peculiar Practice’ on Britbox! This is a surreal black-comedy drama series that was shown on BBC TV in 1986 and 1988 with a TV movie in 1992. It stars Peter Davison – well-known for starring in the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ and ‘Doctor Who’. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick TV Episode Review – ‘Charity’ (Classic Casualty)

This is Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’)’s ‘Casualty’ episode! 🙂

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I don’t usually do reviews on medical dramas like ‘Casualty’, but pretty recently, at the time of this review, the classic 1989 episode (Series 4, Episode 6 to be specific) called ‘Charity’ was repeated on the Drama channel on UKTV. I found the opportunity to watch the episode by seeing it on UKTV Play. Continue reading

‘Jesus of Nazareth’ & ‘The Miracle Maker’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

As it’s Good Friday tomorrow, it’s a good time to revisit two dramatised productions of the story of Jesus Christ and the wonderful miracles he performed. The two productions of Jesus’ story that I’ve reviewed include the 1977 TV mini-series ‘Jesus of Nazareth’, starring Robert Powell as Jesus, and the 1999/2000 animated film ‘The Miracle Maker’, featuring Ralph Fiennes as the voice of Jesus. Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘The Musketeers’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s funny how I seem to keep coming back to ‘The Three Musketeers’ by Alexandra Dumas every year. In 2021, I reviewed the 1993 film and in 2022, I reviewed the 2011 film. Both films I saw on Disney+. I’ve just finished checking out the BBC TV series ‘The Musketeers’, based on the 1844 novel. Continue reading
