CD Review – ‘Ravagers’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve finally made a start on checking out ‘The Ninth Doctor Adventures’ of ‘Doctor Who’ by Big Finish. Christopher Eccleston played the Ninth Doctor in Series 1 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series in 2005. Now he’s back to play the Doctor in a number of Big Finish audios. I’m sure it’s going to be fantastic to check them out! Continue reading

Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker on Blu-ray #6

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And we’ve come to the end of Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Tom Baker. To finish off, we’re taking a look at the lost story called ‘Shada’, which was meant to be the season finale to Season 17, but was cancelled due to strike action happening in 1979. My review on the original ‘Shada’ is based on the 2021 ‘definitive version’ of the story in the Season 17 Blu-ray box set. I’ve combined both my reviews on the 1992 VHS version and the 2017 movie version of the ‘Shada’ story for this review. Continue reading

Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker on Blu-ray #2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We continue checking out Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Tom Baker by taking a look at the second story in the season called ‘City of Death’. This is my second favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story in the entire series (the first of course being ‘Black Orchid’). The story has Paris in 1979; Julian Glover as the villain; a cameo of John Cleese and Eleanor Bron; and an enjoyable comedy-drama plot by Douglas Adams, based on the ideas by David Fisher. Quick CD Box Set Review – ‘Forty’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

To commemorate the day I first met Sarah Sutton at a ‘Doctor Who’ convention back in February 2010 (the ‘Fifth Element’ event), I’ve decided to share a quick review on the first ‘Forty’ box set by Big Finish. I’m hoping to share in-depth reviews on the two stories in the box set by the end of 2022. Continue reading

Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Delta and the Bannermen’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve now read and heard the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Delta and the Bannermen’ by Malcolm Kohll. The story features the Seventh Doctor and Mel meeting Delta as well as Billy, Ray, Burton, Murray, Weismuller, Hawk and Goronwy. They end up at the Shangri-La holiday camp in South Wales where Gavrok and the Bannermen attack. The audiobook for ‘Doctor Who – Delta and the Bannermen’ is read by Bonnie Langford who plays Mel in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. Continue reading
