Basement News – April 2018

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It was quite a snowy March, wasn’t it? I wondered whether we were going to have snow on Easter Monday. Thankfully that didn’t happen in the area I live in. 😀 I’m now currently looking forward to what’s to come in April this year and beyond, as we look into this preview for the upcoming month.

First of all, if you want to check out the photos I took of the snow we had in Cardiff in the area where I live in, using my Samsung phone camera, you can find it in the ‘Let It Snow!’ post here.

I must apologise here. I have done two new ‘Doctor Who Timelines’ for my blog including one for the Rutans and one for the Wirrn. I forgot to add a post to announce it on my blog. You can find the Rutans’ timeline and the Wirrn’s timeline in ‘The Monsters’ Timelines Index’ on my blog. I have been slow with ‘Doctor Who Timelines’ in 2018, but hopefully more will come soon.

In terms of ‘Doctor Who’ reviews, I’ve recently reviewed four William Hartnell stories, ‘The Dalek Invasion of Earth’, ‘The Rescue’, ‘The Romans’ and ‘The Web Planet’. Later this month, I’ll be adding my reviews on all of Series 1 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Christopher Eccleston. After that, I’ll be adding my reviews on all of Series 4 with David Tennant and then add my reviews on ‘The Seeds of Death’, ‘The Space Pirates’ and ‘The War Games’ with Patrick Troughton and ‘The Creature From The Pit’ and ‘Nightmare of Eden’ with Tom Baker. Stay tuned for announcements.

I’m currently adding my latest ‘Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ story called ‘The Stockbridge Terror’ to my blog. I’ve added five episodes of the six-part story. Next week, the sixth episode of the story will be posted. Please feel free to check this story out as it features the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy with Maxwell Edison and Andrew Whittaker facing the Sontarans and it takes place in Stockbridge village.

I’m still currently in the process of visiting ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movies on Blu-ray. Recently, my parents and I have seen ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ and ‘The Two Towers’, which I’ve updated recently on my blog. I’m looking forward to updating my review for ‘The Return of the King’. I’m also looking forward to seeing a re-release of ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ at the cinema in April. I’m also in the process of updating my reviews on ‘The Lord of the Rings’ radio series, which is a slow process so far. 😀

March was a pretty exciting month for me because I saw Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton again at the ‘Carlisle Comic Con’ this year. Please feel free to check out my convention report for that exciting weekend for me. I’m looking forward to seeing Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton again with Janet Fielding at the ‘Folkestone Film, TV and Comic Con’ for my birthday in May this year.

My series of mini-series over the Easter holidays has already begun! For this year, we’re looking into the ‘Soldiers of Love’ CD series from MJTV productions. This series stars Nicholas Courtney, Gareth Thomas, Michael Keating, Anna Karen, Jacqueline Pearce and Sarah Sutton. Please feel free to check out my current reviews on the ‘Soldiers of Love’ and stay tuned for announcements on reviews for the rest of this series this month.

I’ve added two new pages to my blog which are the BBV page and the ‘Oh, Doctor Beeching’ page. Please feel free to check them out. I’ve also done a review on the ‘Batman Forever’ movie novelization by Peter David if you’d like to check it out.

Also check out my latest DVD box set review on ”Allo, ‘Allo’ as well as my quick DVD review on ‘Monkey Trouble’ and my Blu-ray reviews on ‘Mission: Impossible’ & ‘Mission: Impossible III’; ‘Mission: Impossible 2’ and ‘Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol’. There’s also my quick DVD review on the BBC sitcom series, ‘Sink or Swim’, with Peter Davison and Robert Glenister.

Check out my latest movie reviews on ‘Peter Rabbit’ and ‘Ready Player One’ for March. As I said, I’m looking forward to seeing ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’ re-released at the cinema sometime soon. I’m also looking forward to seeing ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ for my birthday in May as well as ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’ in that same month.

Well, that’s all for ‘Basement News’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’ in April and beyond. I’m sure I’ll be adding new things and more updates and announcements to my blog as I go along in the year. At the moment, I just can’t wait for another exciting birthday in May this year. But I should be patient and enjoy April, shouldn’t it? 😀

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
