It’s time for the second story of Season 7 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 Today, we’re looking at ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’, a seven-part adventure, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Caroline John as Liz Shaw and Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier. In this story, we begin the ‘Beneath the Surface’ saga where the Third Doctor encounters the Silurians in some caves in England. ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’ can be checked out on DVD as well as on Britbox. For a while, this six-part ‘Doctor Who’ TV adventure was missing from the BBC Archives. In October 2013, it was found and can be enjoyed by every ‘Doctor Who’ fan watching it on DVD and via Britbox. ‘The Enemy of the World’ stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and as the villainous Salamander. This story also stars Frazer Hines as Jamie and Deborah Watling as Victoria. This is also the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to be directed by Barry Letts. Continue reading
