Happy New Year From ‘Bradley’s Basement’ 2026

Happy New Year everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s very early in the morning, but it’s officially the first day of 2026 today! Where did the previous year go? I feel like so much happened in the previous year that I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to do in 2025. But hey, 2026 is here and hopefully it’s going to be great!

As we start my blog’s 11th year, I’ve put together a brand-new wallpaper containing a collage of some of the ‘Doctor Who’ and non-‘Doctor Who’ stories that I’ve reviewed as well as written on my blog. There are also some photos of me with the ‘Doctor Who’ stars.

Please feel free to check out the new wallpaper I’ve shared in all its glory below.

Whilst I’m sharing my brand-new wallpaper for my blog, let me share with you what Christmas presents I had in 2025. This included a brand-new mug which has a photo of me and Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’) from ‘Scarborough Comic Con’ in 2023. 🙂

There’s also the latest Blu-ray box set of ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ BBC TV series, a photo book containing memories of me seeing ‘Doctor Who’ stars at conventions, and 2026 ‘Doctor Who’ desk calendar. Just to say, I’ve had a lot of 2026 calendars for Christmas. 😀

As well as the 2026 ‘Doctor Who’ desk calendar, there’s a custom wall calendar containing photos of me with some of the ‘Doctor Who’ stars, an official multi-Doctor ‘Doctor Who’ calendar, a Millie Gibson wall calendar and a Jenna Coleman wall calendar.

I also had a nice photo of Nyssa in ‘Logopolis’ signed by Sarah Sutton with a message of “Happy Christmas” to me. My Dad purchased the photo and had Sarah sign it with “Happy Christmas” when we saw her for ‘MegaCon Live Farnborough’ in October 2025.

There’s so much to look forward to in 2026. Whilst there isn’t a new ‘Doctor Who‘ TV season to look forward to this year, I’m looking forward to when the 2026 ‘Doctor Who’ Christmas Special by Russell T. Davies arrives in December. Hopefully, it’ll be worthwhile.

I’m hoping to update my reviews on ‘The Savages’ via its new animation as well as Seasons 7, 13 and 21 of classic ‘Doctor Who’. I’m also looking forward to writing brand-new in-depth reviews for Series 14 and 15 of new ‘Doctor Who’ with Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor.

There are plenty of ‘Doctor Who’ books for me to check out, including the Target novelizations as well as the Puffin Classics crossovers range, which I’ll be starting to share in the final instalment of the latest ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season later today. 🙂

Talking of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’, I started late in doing my reviews for the latest mini-review season in 2025. Hopefully, that won’t stop me in sharing another set of ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews later in the year. 🙂 There should be brand-new stories to look forward to.

I’ve got a couple of conventions to look forward to in 2026, including ‘Happy Who Year’ in Andover with Sarah Sutton, Janet Fielding and Peter Davison, and ‘London Comic Con Spring’ with Millie Gibson, Ncuti Gatwa and Varada Sethu. Already, I’m excited about it! 🙂

I’m holding off on seeing any more stage shows in London this year, but I’m looking forward to seeing some brand-new movies in 2026. This includes the two ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ films ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which are already getting hyped.

There are some new drama TV shows to look forward to in 2026, including Series 7 of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series on Channel 5. There’s also Series 2 of ‘The Forsytes’ with Millie Gibson, also on Channel 5, to look forward to. It’s very exciting indeed!

I’m currently working on getting the rest of my next ‘Fifth Doctor, Nyssa and Billy’ story called ‘Swing Time’ shared on my blog in 2026. It’s slow progress at the moment, but hopefully, I’ll be able to share the story episodically like I’ve done with ‘Neptune Connect’.

As I began updating my reviews on the ‘Beast Wars: Transformers’ TV series in May 2025, I’m hoping to keep doing that in 2026 by updating the rest of my ‘Beast Wars’ reviews on my blog. Hopefully, all my ‘Beast Wars’ reviews will be updated once we get to May 2026.

Going back to movies at the cinema, I’m hoping to revisit the ‘Star Wars’ series ‘The Mandalorian’ and maybe do a review on Season 3 at some point. This is so I can be up to date when it comes to seeing ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ at the cinema in May 2026.

I think that’s enough to whet the appetite for what will be happening on my blog in 2026. It’s amazing that we’re in Year Eleven on my blog and I’m looking forward to how things turn out in the New Year. Will I achieve everything I’ve set out to do for 2026. Let’s find out! 🙂

Wishing you a very Happy New Year for 2026. Here’s to ‘Bradley’s Basement’s eleventh year and please keep safe!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim 🙂

      Thanks scifimike,

Hope you have a great 2026 too! I had a lie-in this morning and cooked a spaghetti bolognese meal for me and my parents. New Year going okay for me at the moment. 😆

      Tim 🙂
