It’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’ and it’s time for me to share the first full-length episode of my epic three-part ‘Doctor Who’ 60th anniversary adventure called ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’. For those of you new to ‘Bradley’s Basement’, I’ve been sharing my ‘Doctor Who’ fan-fiction stories featuring the Fifth Doctor, as played by Peter Davison in the classic TV series, in ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ series. There’s also Nyssa of Traken (played by Sarah Sutton) and Billy Walker (played by me 😀 ). I’ve updated my page on ‘The Fifth Doctor by Tim Bradley’ to connect to ‘Doctor Who by Tim Bradley’ on ‘Bradley’s Basement’. Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
Here we are on the two-part season finale of Series 5 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘The Pandorica Opens’/’The Big Bang’ by Steven Moffat. In this two-part adventure, Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond receive a message. They journey back in time to Roman Britain where they reunite with Alex Kingston as River Song. The trio soon ride off on horses to Stonehenge. There, they go underground to find a box-like structure called the Pandorica, which has been waiting for the Doctor. This story features a number of returning characters who have appeared in Series 5, including the return of Arthur Darvill as Rory Williams, who has managed to survive and cheat death following ‘Cold Blood’. This adventure also features the Pandorica Alliance of ‘Doctor Who’ monsters, including Daleks, Cybermen, Sontarans, Judoon, Silurians, etc. ‘The Pandorica Opens’/’The Big Bang’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
And welcome to the new TV series of ‘Doctor Who’, which started back in 2005! 🙂 It’s time to check out the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era, and we’re starting off with Series 1. We’re also introduced to the Ninth Doctor’s companion: Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, and the first episode of the Ninth Doctor era is of course called ‘Rose’ by Russell T. Davies. There’s also the introduction of Camille Coduri as Jackie Tyler, Rose’s mum and Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith, Rose’s boyfriend. This episode also features the dramatic return of the Autons, who were in ‘Spearhead From Space’ and ‘Terror of the Autons’ during the Jon Pertwee/Third Doctor era. ‘Rose’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. After swimming through Season 7, it’s time to check out Season 8 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. The first story of Season 8 is ‘Terror of the Autons’, where Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor confronts the Autons and the Nestene Consciousness again. He meets Katy Manning as Jo Grant, his new companion, and he also meets his archenemy, Roger Delgado as the Master. As well as Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier and John Levene as Sergeant Benton, U.N.I.T. is joined by Richard Franklin as Captain Mike Yates.
