‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Visitation’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We come to one of my favourite stories in Season 19 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. It’s time for ‘The Visitation’, a four-part story by Eric Saward, where Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Matthew Waterhouse as Adric and Janet Fielding as Tegan visit England in the year 1666. They meet Michael Robbins (of ‘On the Buses’ fame) as Richard Mace, and they work together to thwart the evil plans of the reptile-like Terileptils, who have come to cause trouble with the Great Plague and the Great Fire of London. ‘The Visitation’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray or Britbox. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘State of Decay’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for the second story of ‘The E-Space Trilogy’ and the fourth story of Season 18 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 This is ‘State of Decay’, a four-part story by Terrance Dicks, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Lalla Ward as Romana, K-9, voiced by John Leeson, and Matthew Waterhouse as Adric. This is a story full of blood-curdling proportions, as it features the villainous Three Who Rule, who turn out to be vampires. ‘State of Decay’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ Reviews

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’, so why not? 😀 To commemorate the day that I first met Sarah Sutton at the ‘Fifth Element’ event back in February 2010, I’ve decided to review ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ by Gary Downie, which was originally published back in 1985. This has been a treat of a ‘Doctor Who’ book to review. 🙂 Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker era. It was also the first story for me to experience Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. We continue our look into Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with ‘The Two Doctors’, a multi-Doctor story featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There’s also Frazer Hines as Jamie who accompanies Patrick Troughton’s Doctor as well as Nicola Bryant as Peri who accompanies Colin Baker’s Doctor. Continue reading

‘All Creatures Great and Small’ – Series 4 REVIEWED

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done it! I’ve reviewed all of Series 4 of ‘All Creatures Great and Small’. A season I barely knew about and I’ve reviewed each episode upon a first viewing on DVD (apart from the first episode of course since I saw that episode years before I watched Series 4 in its entirely on DVD lately). I’ve got three more seasons after this. I’ve enjoyed Series 4 of ‘All Creatures’, but it’s not as good as the first three seasons to be honest. Continue reading
