Audio Review – ‘Agents of Chaos’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Our look into John Hurt as the War Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ has been quick so far in the 60th Anniversary Marathon. We finish it off by checking out the third story of ‘The War Doctor’ series of Big Finish audios called ‘Agents of Chaos’. There are more ‘War Doctor’ stories to check out, but this is the penultimate box set audio adventure featuring John Hurt as the War Doctor. I’m sure they will be a point when I’ll be checking out ‘Casualties of War’, the fourth box set audio adventure with John Hurt, as well ‘The War Doctor Begins’ audios featuring Jonathon Carley. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘The Two Doctors’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This is my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker/Sixth Doctor era. It’s time for us to enjoy a multi-Doctor story that’s not an anniversary special. Today, we’re looking at ‘The Two Doctors’, a three-part 45-minute episode story by Robert Holmes. This story stars Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. It also features the return of Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and Frazer Hines as Jamie. There are also the potato-headed Sontarans and the story introduces a new race of aliens called the Androgums, including ‘Blake’s 7’s Jacqueline Pearce as Chessene and John Stratton as Shockeye. There’s a sunny atmosphere about this story, as some of it takes place in Seville in Spain. ‘The Two Doctors’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Continue reading

‘Soldiers of Love: Deathtraps’ is on YouTube!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Get your remotes ready! It’s MJTV time! 😀

Welcome back to MJTV time, and we continue with ‘Soldiers of Love’, as Critical Penguin continues his mission to share the 14-part audio series on YouTube with me helping him out. I’m currently sending the ‘SOL’ episodes to CP one by one, containing photos and audio tracks from the CDs I own, in order for him to put together videos of each ‘SOL’ episode to share on YouTube. ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ Reviews

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s the 60th anniversary of ‘Doctor Who’, so why not? 😀 To commemorate the day that I first met Sarah Sutton at the ‘Fifth Element’ event back in February 2010, I’ve decided to review ‘The Doctor Who Cookbook’ by Gary Downie, which was originally published back in 1985. This has been a treat of a ‘Doctor Who’ book to review. 🙂 Continue reading

Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Colin Baker on Blu-ray #4

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker era. It was also the first story for me to experience Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. We continue our look into Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with ‘The Two Doctors’, a multi-Doctor story featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There’s also Frazer Hines as Jamie who accompanies Patrick Troughton’s Doctor as well as Nicola Bryant as Peri who accompanies Colin Baker’s Doctor. Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Dark Season’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

With Russell T. Davies due to return to ‘Doctor Who’ as showrunner for the 60th anniversary and the Fourteenth Doctor era, it’s only fair that I check out some of his other work in preparation for his return. This includes checking out the upcoming ‘Doctor Who’ audio story ‘Mind of the Hodiac’ and RTD’s first BBC sci-fi drama for children’s TV called ‘Dark Season’. Continue reading

CD Review – ‘Infernal Devices’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And, would you know it? I’m back into reviewing another epic ‘War Doctor’ adventure! I didn’t think that would happen so quickly! Though considering I’ve written a War Doctor story recently for my blog (coming soon in August 2020), I shouldn’t be very surprised. Anyway, time for ‘Infernal Devices’! Continue reading

Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘Blake’s 7’ (Series 4)

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

At last! I’ve finished seeing all of ‘Blake’s 7’ on DVD! It’s taken me a while to see all of ‘Blake’s 7’, but I’m happy to say I saw the final episode before the last day of October 2019. ‘Blake’s 7’ has been an enjoyable sci-fi TV series indeed. It has had its ups and downs, but overall it’s been pretty entertaining. Continue reading
