Today, it’s time for us to check out the second ‘Doctor Who’ story in the classic TV series to be written by Robert Holmes, except it’s mostly missing from the BBC Archive, with one episode still intact – ‘Episode Two’. It’s also considered one of the worst ‘Doctor Who’ stories ever made, starring Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Wendy Padbury as Zoe. ‘The Space Pirates’ can be checked out on audio CD or as a download via Audible. ‘Episode Two’ of the story can be seen in the ‘Lost In Time’ DVD collection as well as on Britbox. For a while, this six-part ‘Doctor Who’ TV adventure was missing from the BBC Archives. In October 2013, it was found and can be enjoyed by every ‘Doctor Who’ fan watching it on DVD and via Britbox. ‘The Enemy of the World’ stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor and as the villainous Salamander. This story also stars Frazer Hines as Jamie and Deborah Watling as Victoria. This is also the first ‘Doctor Who’ story to be directed by Barry Letts. Continue reading →
