It’s time for us to check out the two-part season finale of Series 4 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series, and it’s a big one. 😀 This is ‘The Stolen Earth’/’Journey’s End’ by Russell T. Davies. David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna Noble lead a SUPER MEGA cast, as this two-part adventure features the return of Billie Piper as Rose Tyler, Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones, John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness and Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith. There’s also Noel Clarke as Mickey Smith and Camille Coduri as Jackie Tyler, Rose’s mum. There’s Penelope Wilton as Harriet Jones, Bernard Cribbins as Wilfred Mott, Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble and Adjoa Andoh as Francine Jones. There’s Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper and Gareth David-Lloyd as Ianto Jones from ‘Torchwood’, and there’s Tommy Knight as Luke Smith and Mr. Smith, voiced by Alexander Armstrong from ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’. The Daleks also make their return, and they’re led by Julian Bleach who makes his debut as Davros. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Utopia’/’The Sound of Drums’/’Last of the Time Lords’

And here we are on the season finale of Series 3 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 This is a three-part story by Russell T. Davies called ‘Utopia’/’The Sound of Drums’/’Last of the Time Lords’. David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones are joined by John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness, as the TARDIS takes them to the end of the universe, which is 100 trillion years in the future. There they meet Derek Jacobi as Professor Yana, who turns out to be the Master. Soon, the Master regenerates into John Simm and he becomes Prime Minister of Great Britain in Martha’s time. Can the Doctor, Martha and Jack thwart the evil machinations of the Master before the planet Earth is taken over completely. ‘Utopia’/’The Sound of Drums’/’Last of the Time Lords’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Let’s check out another one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era. This is the penultimate story in Series 1 of the new ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘Boom Town’ by Russell T. Davies. In this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure, Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor, Billie Piper as Rose and John Barrowman as Captain Jack visit Cardiff Bay in South Wales. They reunite with Noel Clarke as Mickey and enjoy spending some time in Cardiff Bay before they discover Annette Badland as Margaret Blaine, one of the Slitheen from ‘Aliens of London’/’World War Three’ has returned to cause trouble. Here we are on the third episode of the Christopher Eccleston/Ninth Doctor era of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘The Unquiet Dead’. And it happens to be the first ‘Doctor Who’ TV episode by Mark Gatiss. 😀 Starring Christopher Eccleston as the Ninth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose, this ‘Doctor Who’ episode takes us back to Earth’s past where we visit Cardiff in Victorian times. There are ghosts running amok in Cardiff on Christmas Eve in 1869. The Doctor and Rose must solve the ghost mystery with help from author Charles Dickens. Simon Callow guest stars as Mr. Dickens and there’s also Eve Myles who plays Gwyneth. ‘The Unquiet Dead’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Continue reading
