Happy New Year From ‘Bradley’s Basement’ 2023

Happy New Year everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And yes! This year is the 60th anniversary year of my favourite sci-fi TV series called ‘Doctor Who’. As you can see, I’ve started off 2023 by sharing a ‘Doctor Who’-themed Happy New Year picture. I’ve also changed my ‘Bradley’s Basement’ wallpaper to contain all things ‘Doctor Who’ over the years. 🙂

Please feel free to check out the full photo version of my brand-new ‘Doctor Who’-themed ‘Bradley’s Basement’ wallpaper below.

I’m looking forward to how 2023 will turn out in terms of celebrating 60 years of ‘Doctor Who’. There will be plenty of things to enjoy, including the ‘Once and Future’ audios by Big Finish as well as the upcoming 60th Anniversary Specials in November, starring David Tennant and Catherine Tate. 🙂

I hope I’ll be attending more conventions this year to celebrate ‘Doctor Who’s 60th anniversary by meeting the stars of the show. I hope I’ll see people like Sarah Sutton, Peter Davison, Janet Fielding, Matthew Waterhouse, Frazer Hines, Wendy Padbury, Sophie Aldred, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy in 2023. If I’m lucky, I hope I’ll see David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker at another convention. 😀

There’s still plenty to occupy my time in 2023 to celebrate 60 years of ‘Doctor Who’. There’s my 60th anniversary special called ‘The Thirteen+ Doctors’, which I’m currently working on. I’m hoping to get the story finished before November, possibly in time for my blog’s eighth anniversary in September.

There’s the rest of my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season to enjoy in January 2023. I’m sure I’ll be working on another ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for December 2023 leading into January 2024. I also hope to do a ‘Doctor Who’-themed Easter review season and some ‘Doctor Who’-themed Christmas reviews. 🙂

Later today, on the 1st of January, I’ll be starting the ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon. My blog will go through each of the stories featured in the TV series from 1963 up to the present day. This will include links to reviews as well as summaries of each season and reflections on each Doctor.

Don’t worry though. It won’t just be me doing ‘Doctor Who’ stuff this year. I still hope to share non-‘Doctor Who’ reviews and blog posts in 2023. There’s Series 12 of ‘Call the Midwife to check out, which will start on BBC One at 8:00pm in the UK. I’ll be sharing a summary of Series 12 later in 2023.

I’ll be sharing a movie review on ‘Matilda the Musical’ sometime soon in January, so stay tuned for when that becomes available. I hope to catch up on stuff I haven’t seen yet on Disney+, including Season 3 of ‘The Orville’, the ‘MCU’ shows ‘Ms. Marvel’ and ‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’, and the ‘Star Wars’ show ‘Andor’. 😀

I’m sure Series 8 of ‘Grantchester’ is on its way on ITV1 as well as Series 3 of ‘The Larkins’. I’m also looking forward to when Series 4 of the new ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series will be on Channel 5, possibly in September. Hopefully I’ll be able to find time to do reviews on these shows. 🙂

In terms of movies, there’s ‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning: Part One’ to look forward to as well as ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’. Again, all of this will depend on how I balance reviewing ‘Doctor Who’-stuff and non-‘Doctor Who’-stuff during 2023. Hopefully, all will be balanced out well.

I can’t guarantee 2023 will be a better year compared to previous years like 2020, 2021 and 2022. I live in hope that there’ll be plenty to enjoy in 2023 and the 60th anniversary celebrations of ‘Doctor Who’ help in that regard. I hope to keep you entertained, as I continue to share things on my blog. 🙂

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year for 2023. Let’s hope ‘Bradley’s Basement’s eight year will be very exciting!

Here’s to the future and take care!

Thanks for reading!

Bye for now!

Tim. 🙂
