Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
It’s time to check out the worst ‘Doctor Who’ story in Season 22 of the classic TV series. Today’s ‘Doctor Who’ story is called ‘Timelash’ by Glen McCoy. This is a two-part 45-minute episode story, starring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. ‘Timelash’ is also rated one of the worst ‘Doctor Who’ stories ever made in the entire TV series. Do I agree with that viewpoint? This ‘Doctor Who’ adventure also features Paul Darrow (well-known for playing Avon Kerr in ‘Blake’s 7’) as the villainous Tekker. There’s also the monstrous Borad, played by Robert Ashby. H.G. Wells appears in this story too. 😀 ‘Timelash’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Continue reading

It’s time for the second story of Season 7 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series! 🙂 Today, we’re looking at ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’, a seven-part adventure, starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Caroline John as Liz Shaw and Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier. In this story, we begin the ‘Beneath the Surface’ saga where the Third Doctor encounters the Silurians in some caves in England. ‘Doctor Who and the Silurians’ can be checked out on DVD as well as on Britbox. We come now to what I consider to be the weakest story in Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Timelash’. It’s been nice to revisit this ‘Doctor Who’ story in the Season 22 Blu-ray box set, featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. It’s time to check out the eighth and final story of this season of Big Finish audios called ‘The Next Life’, starring Paul McGann as the Doctor, India Fisher as Charley and Conrad Westmaas as C’rizz. The story also features special guest stars Daphne Ashbrook as Perfection, Paul Darrow as Guidance and Don Warrington as Rassilon. At last! I’ve finished seeing all of ‘Blake’s 7’ on DVD! It’s taken me a while to see all of ‘Blake’s 7’, but I’m happy to say I saw the final episode before the last day of October 2019. ‘Blake’s 7’ has been an enjoyable sci-fi TV series indeed. It has had its ups and downs, but overall it’s been pretty entertaining. Continue reading

As well as giving a tribute to Paul Darrow, I’ve also decided to give a tribute to Gareth Thomas and Jacqueline Pearce who have also passed away recently.
