Cinema Experiences – ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Film Trilogy (January 2024)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For the past three weeks in January, my parents and I have been checking out ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy on the big screen at Showcase Cinema in Nantgarw near Cardiff. We’ve greatly enjoyed ‘The Fellowship of the Ring’, ‘The Two Towers’ and ‘The Return of the King’ at the cinema. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I didn’t think I would get to see ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’ at the cinema before the end of 2023. Thankfully, I have, and I’m glad I saw it on the big screen since this happens to be the final film of the ‘DC Extended Universe’ film series. I didn’t realise that fact when seeing the film at the cinema. Continue reading

Quick DVD Box Set Review – ‘The Incredible Hulk’ Original Movie Collection

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

Today, I’m sharing my thoughts on three TV movies featuring ‘The Incredible Hulk’, starring Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno. This is ironic, considering I’m still watching the TV series at the time of this review. I might as well share my thoughts on the TV series so far before I get onto talking about the TV films. Convention Memories – ‘Cardiff Film & Comic Con 2014’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

Before I share my latest convention report on the ‘London Comic Con Spring’ from last weekend, let’s talk about another set of ‘convention memories’! It’s time to talk about the first convention I attended back in 2014 – the ‘Cardiff Film & Comic Con’! This was held at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, March 2014. This was one of the happiest conventions I attended, since it was close to home. 🙂 Continue reading

Revisiting ‘The Hobbit’/’The Lord of the Rings’ on Blu-ray

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve had a chance to check out ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ films again, set in the world of Middle-Earth. I’m planning to do a ‘LOTR’-styled Advent Calendar for my blog this year with a comedic edge to it. I also hope to make a start on updating my reviews on the ‘LOTR’ radio series once I’ve sorted out my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ reviews for this year. I also hope to see the new ‘LOTR’ TV series on Amazon Prime Video soon. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Aquaman’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Out of all the DC Comics superheroes I know of, Aquaman is one I don’t know very much about. Hence why I wasn’t really interested in seeing the film ‘Aquaman’ when it was released at cinemas in December 2018! At that point, I was more interested in the Marvel superheroes than in the DC ones. Continue reading

Quick DVD Review – ‘Tom and Jerry Meet Sherlock Holmes’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve done quite a number of quick reviews on cartoon films released to DVD. These include unusual crossovers such as ‘Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory’; ‘Tom and Jerry & The Wizard of Oz’ and the sequel to that film ‘Tom and Jerry: Back to Oz’. I also reviewed ‘Scooby-Doo Meets Batman’ and ‘Scooby-Doo! & Batman: The Brave and the Bold’. Quite unusual crossovers! 😀 Continue reading
