Welcome to Season 13 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor. For the first story of Season 13, we’re introduced to the Zygons, a new alien race for the Doctor and his friends to tackle. This four-part adventure also features Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith as well as the last regular appearance of Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan. It’s the fifth and final story of Season 12 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. We end Tom Baker’s first season of ‘Doctor Who’ by taking a look at ‘Revenge of the Cybermen’, a four-part adventure. As well as Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, there’s also Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith and Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan. This is one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the Tom Baker era and it was the first Fourth Doctor TV story I checked out on DVD in 2006. It’s a well-loved classic. This is ‘Genesis of the Daleks’, a six-part story starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor, Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith and Ian Marter as Harry Sullivan. As well as the Daleks, this story also introduces us to their creator Davros, played by Michael Wisher. ‘Genesis of the Daleks’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. Continue reading
