It’s time for us to check out the Paul McGann/Eighth Doctor era, which is technically the shortest-lived ‘Doctor Who’ era ever on TV. Thankfully, Paul McGann’s Eighth Doctor has had a long life in the Big Finish audios. 😀 Let’s check out ‘The TV Movie’, which was shown on UK and USA TV in May 1996. The ‘Doctor Who’ TV Movie is by Matthew Jacobs and was directed by Geoffrey Sax. As well as Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor, there’s Daphne Ashbrook as Grace Holloway, Yee Jee Tso as Chang Lee and Eric Roberts as the Master. This story also features the regeneration between Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor into Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor. ‘The TV Movie’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. And here we are at the end of ‘The Divergent Universe’ season of ‘Doctor Who’! It’s time to check out the eighth and final story of this season of Big Finish audios called ‘The Next Life’, starring Paul McGann as the Doctor, India Fisher as Charley and Conrad Westmaas as C’rizz. The story also features special guest stars Daphne Ashbrook as Perfection, Paul Darrow as Guidance and Don Warrington as Rassilon. Here we are on the last set of ‘Myth Makers’ interviews compilation DVDs that I had for Christmas 2020. This time, it’s ‘The Doctors: The Paul McGann Years’! It’s unusual as Paul McGann had a short TV tenure playing the Eighth Doctor with doing ‘The TV Movie’ in 1996. But of course, a lot has happened since then as Paul has done plenty of Big Finish audios and did ‘The Night of the Doctor’. 🙂 Continue reading

Today, my review of the Big Finish audio story called ‘The Worlds of Doctor Who’ is now online! This is an exciting four-episode story featuring four distinct spin-off shows of ‘Doctor Who’ in Big Finish audio. This includes ‘Jago & Litefoot’; ‘Counter-Measures’; the U.N.I.T.
