Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Delta and the Bannermen’

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve now read and heard the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Delta and the Bannermen’ by Malcolm Kohll. The story features the Seventh Doctor and Mel meeting Delta as well as Billy, Ray, Burton, Murray, Weismuller, Hawk and Goronwy. They end up at the Shangri-La holiday camp in South Wales where Gavrok and the Bannermen attack. The audiobook for ‘Doctor Who – Delta and the Bannermen’ is read by Bonnie Langford who plays Mel in the TV series and the Big Finish audios. Continue reading

My parents and I have completed our journey in watching the ‘Call the Midwife’ series on DVD from 2020 to 2021. We’ve recently finished Series 10 of ‘Call the Midwife’ on DVD, which was shown earlier this year on BBC One from April to May. Just in case you missed it yesterday, I’ve read and heard the Target novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story called ‘Dragonfire’ by Ian Briggs. The story features the Seventh Doctor and Mel who meet Ace for the first time and they reunite with Sabalom Glitz from ‘The Trial of a Time Lord’. The story also features Mel’s first departure from the TARDIS before she returned in ‘A Life of Crime’. The audiobook for ‘Doctor Who – Dragonfire’ is read by Bonnie Langford who played Mel in the TV series and she continues to play her in the Big Finish audios. Continue reading

Just in case you missed it today, I’ve read and heard the novelization/audiobook of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Dæmons’ by producer Barry Letts, based on the scripts by him and Robert Sloman (under the pseudonym of ‘Guy Leopold’).
