It’s New Year’s Eve today! You’ve waited for this, and here we are! 😀 Today, I’m sharing my brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ review on the Big Finish audio adaptation of ‘Goth Opera’ by Lizbeth Myles, based on the original 1994 novel by Paul Cornell, which was released this year. I’m so happy I’ve been able to check out and do my review on the Big Finish audio adaptation of ‘Goth Opera’ for the 2024-25 ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season. So, originally, I was planning to do a set of updated reviews on ‘The Lost Stories’ trilogy of ‘Doctor Who’ audio adventures starring Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton and Janet Fielding from 2011 for my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season from 2024 to 2025, including ‘The Elite’, ‘Hexagora’ and ‘The Children of Seth’. Sadly, I’ve been busy in November and haven’t been able to find time to do those updated reviews. Thankfully, I’ve been able to update my review on one of my favourite Fifth Doctor and Nyssa audio stories that is actually an audio anthology called ‘1001 Nights’. Continue reading

I saw ‘Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl’ on BBC iPlayer on Christmas Day! 🙂 I greatly enjoyed seeing the film. It was a very nice film to sit through and I felt very relaxed watching it. The ‘Wallace & Gromit’ nostalgia came back for me as I watched the film. 🙂 Continue reading

Before we return to the Big Finish audio world tomorrow, let’s uncover today’s instalment of ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season for December 2024 to January 2025 by checking out the BBC Audio Originals story of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Dark Contract’ by Will Hadcroft. The story features the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan and Adric and is a 70-minute audio episode. ‘Dark Contract’ is read by Matthew Waterhouse, who plays Adric in the TV series and the Big Finish audios.
