Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

In this episode from Series 2, we have David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose joined by Noel Clarke as Mickey as a travelling companion in the TARDIS. They visit a spaceship in the 51st century, where the Doctor discovers time windows leading into 18th century Paris. They revolve around the life of Madame de Pompadour, played by Sophia Myles (who played Lady Penelope in the 2004 ‘Thunderbirds’ movie 😀 ). The Doctor must save Madame de Pompadour from the menace of the Clockwork Droids who have come to collect her. Will this episode end happily for both the Tenth Doctor and Madame de Pompadour? ‘The Girl In The Fireplace’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and BBC iPlayer. Continue reading
