‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Ghost Light’

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about the second story in Season 26 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. This is ‘Ghost Light’, a three-part adventure by Marc Platt, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor and Sophie Aldred as Ace. The story takes place at a haunted mansion in Perivale called Gabriel Chase in the year 1883. There are special guest stars like Ian Hogg, Michael Cochrane, Sharon Duce, Frank Windsor, Sylvia Sims, etc. There are two viewpoints on how this story is rated. One that praises this story highly and the other that doesn’t get what the story’s about. Which viewpoint am I siding with? ‘Ghost Light’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox.
