Yes, I know. I’ve talked about ‘Fawlty Towers – The Play’ twice already having seen it twice in the Apollo Theatre in London back in February and August this year. But recently, a special recording of the theatre play was shown on TV via U&Gold, which is pretty amazing. Continue reading

This past week in the UK, we had Bank Holiday Monday in August 2025. This is what I did on Bank Holiday Monday. I cooked a lasagne for me and my parents for lunch. Later on, we saw the 1986 comedy film ‘Clockwise’, starring John Cleese, via Amazon Prime Video. Continue reading

Say, have you ever wondered what a ‘Fawlty Towers’ and ‘Dad’s Army’ combo would be like? Me neither. But my best friend from school, Stephen, shared a YouTube video with me of a Sherlock Holmes spoof film made in 1977, starring John Cleese and Arthur Lowe. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to check out my absolute favourite Fourth Doctor/Tom Baker era ‘Doctor Who’ story. This is the second story in the classic TV series of ‘Doctor Who’, starring Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and Lalla Ward as Romana. There are also special guest stars like Julian Glover, Catherine Schell, Tom Chadbon, David Graham, Peter Halliday, John Cleese and Eleanor Bron. ‘City of Death’ can be checked out on DVD, Blu-ray and Britbox. The ‘Shrek’ Movies

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

Quite recently, I saw a re-release of ‘Shrek 2’ at the cinema. I greatly enjoyed revisiting the film on the big screen since its release in 2004. Therefore, I’ve decided to share an overview of what I think of each of the four ‘Shrek’ films in turn. Hopefully, I’ll do in-depth reviews of the four films in future. Continue reading

Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Tom Baker on Blu-ray #2

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

We continue checking out Season 17 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with Tom Baker by taking a look at the second story in the season called ‘City of Death’. This is my second favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story in the entire series (the first of course being ‘Black Orchid’). The story has Paris in 1979; Julian Glover as the villain; a cameo of John Cleese and Eleanor Bron; and an enjoyable comedy-drama plot by Douglas Adams, based on the ideas by David Fisher. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For the past twelve weeks, I’ve revisited ‘Fawlty Towers’, one of my favourite BBC TV sitcom shows from the 1970s. I’ve updated my reviews on each of the twelve episodes in the series with some extra new thoughts and some brand-new photos. I’ve also updated my review on the Specsavers advert ‘Fawlty Car’.
