Hello everyone! 🙂
Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!
As promised, here’s my updated review on the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Abominable Snowmen’. This updated review is based on the latest in a line of mostly missing black-and-white ‘Doctor Who’ TV stories from the 1960s that have been animated on DVD and Blu-ray for today. The story stars Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and Deborah Watling as Victoria. Continue reading

It’s time to talk about my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ story from the Colin Baker era. It was also the first story for me to experience Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Nicola Bryant as Peri. We continue our look into Season 22 of ‘Doctor Who’ on Blu-ray with ‘The Two Doctors’, a multi-Doctor story featuring Colin Baker as the Sixth Doctor and Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor. There’s also Frazer Hines as Jamie who accompanies Patrick Troughton’s Doctor as well as Nicola Bryant as Peri who accompanies Colin Baker’s Doctor. Continue reading

The Divergent Wordsmiths have done it again! 🙂 They’ve released another brand-new ‘Doctor Who’ anthology of short stories called ‘The Paul Spragg ReCollections, Volume 2′, which I’m pretty excited about. This is to honour the memory of our dear Paul Spragg, the producer’s assistant at Big Finish who sadly passed away in May 2014. Continue reading

As we’re still beginning the New Year of 2022, let me share with you a ‘Doctor Who’ review I’ve done on the Second Doctor novel called ‘The Roundheads’ by Mark Gatiss. I purchased the 8-disc audiobook CD set of ‘The Roundheads’ read by Anneke Wills when I attended the ‘Bedford Who Charity Con’ back in October 2021. Continue reading

It’s time to share some more ‘convention memories’ today as I talk about the last ‘Doctor Who’ convention I attended in 2013 – the 50th anniversary year of the TV show. In October 2013, I attended ‘Dimensions 2013’, held at the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle, run by 10th Planet Events. 🙂 Continue reading

It’s time to check out another ‘Doctor Who’ animation to fill in the gaps of missing black-and-white ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the 1960s. Today, it’s time for ‘The Evil of the Daleks’, one of my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stories from the Second Doctor era. It features Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie and the debut of Deborah Watling as Victoria. Continue reading

Soon, I’ll be attending the ‘Bedford Who Charity Con’ in October, which I’m really looking forward to! 🙂 Before that happens though, I would like to share with you my memories of attending my favourite convention in the 50th anniversary year of ‘Doctor Who’ in 2013. It’s time to talk about ‘Regenerations 2013’ in Swansea! I have very happy memories of attending that special weekend. 😀 Continue reading

It’s time to check out the Special Edition of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘The Web of Fear’ which has recently been released on DVD and Blu-ray. The Special Edition contains a brand-new animated lost episode in ‘Episode 3’ of the story. I’ve updated my thoughts in my brand-new review of ‘The Web of Fear’, which also contains new photos. As I reviewed ‘The Switching’ as part of the ‘Masterful’ limited edition box set by Big Finish, I decided to check out the stories featured in the ‘Short Trips: Zodiac’ collection. I hope to update my reviews on the ‘Short Trips: Companions’ and ‘Short Trips: Transmissions’ collections as part of my ‘Nyssa Challenge’ mini-review season later this year. Continue reading
