I’ve been looking forward to sharing my updated reviews on Season 20 for quite some time since the Blu-ray box set came out in September 2023. Season 9 of ‘Doctor Who’ with Jon Pertwee on Blu-ray #5

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And thus, we’ve come to the fifth and final story of Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series with Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor. Let’s finish our look into the season by checking out the six-part story ‘The Time Monster’ by Robert Sloman and producer Barry Letts. As well as Jon Pertwee, the story stars Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Roger Delgado as the Master, Richard Franklin as Captain Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. The story also features guest stars like Wanda Moore as Dr. Ruth Ingram, Ian Collier as Stuart Hyde, George Cormack as King Dalios, Ingrid Pitt as Queen Galleia, Donald Eccles as Krasis, Aidan Murphy as Hippias, Susan Penhaligon as Lakis and David ‘Darth Vader’ Prowse as the Minotaur. ‘Doctor Who’ 60th Anniversary Marathon – ‘Arc of Infinity’

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to begin the second season of Peter Davison’s era as the Fifth Doctor in ‘Doctor Who’ as well as the season celebrating the 20th anniversary of the TV show – Season 20. We begin with ‘Arc of Infinity’, a four-part story by Johnny Byrne where Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor and Sarah Sutton as Nyssa end up on Gallifrey. They contend with the return of Omega from ‘The Three Doctors’ and soon head for Amsterdam on Earth where they reunite with Janet Fielding as Tegan. This story also features Colin Baker (before he became the Sixth Doctor) as Commander Maxil, the head of Time Lord security on Gallifrey. ‘Arc of Infinity’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. We’ve come to the end of Season 9 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. And we get to go to Atlantis…again. Um, didn’t we visit Atlantis in ‘The Underwater Menace’? 😀 Anyway, this is ‘The Time Monster’, a six-part adventure starring Jon Pertwee as the Third Doctor, Katy Manning as Jo Grant, Nicholas Courtney as the Brigadier, Richard Franklin as Mike Yates and John Levene as Sergeant Benton. Roger Delgado also makes another return as the Master in this ‘Doctor Who’ adventure. ‘The Time Monster’ can be checked out on DVD and Britbox. The story will soon be re-released in the Season 9 Blu-ray box set, so watch out for that. 😀 Continue reading

At last! I’ve finished reviewing the original ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ TV series, starring Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Peter Davison and Lynda Bellingham.
