A Summary of ‘Time and the Rani’ (Doctor Who) by Tim Bradley

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

This formed as Reaction #3 in my Quick Reactions video to ‘The Reality War’, the second part of the two-part finale of Series 15 of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Wish World’/’The Reality War’. Basically, it’s me doing a comedic summary of the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Time and the Rani’, starring Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor, Bonnie Langford as Mel and Kate O’Mara as the Rani. Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time for me to share my updated reviews on Season 20 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series. I’ve been looking forward to sharing my updated reviews on Season 20 for quite some time since the Blu-ray box set came out in September 2023. The season stars Peter Davison as the Fifth Doctor, Sarah Sutton as Nyssa, Janet Fielding as Tegan and Mark Strickson as Turlough. Let’s start off our look into the seven stories of Season 20 by checking out ‘Arc of Infinity’, a four-parter by Johnny Byrne, starring Peter Davison, Sarah Sutton and Janet Fielding. Book/CD Review – ‘Ruby Red’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Happy 61st Anniversary, ‘Doctor Who’!

Yes! Today, I’m sharing this latest ‘Doctor Who’ review on the 23rd of November 2024, which is the 61st anniversary of the TV show since it began in 1963. And what better way to celebrate than by sharing a review on the first ‘New Series Adventures’ book featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby, called ‘Ruby Red’ by Georgia Cook. And the book is read by Millie Gibson, who plays Ruby Sunday in the TV series. Continue reading

Quick Video Thoughts – ‘Reacting to the Kandyman!’ (Doctor Who)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I shouldn’t be talking about this, as I’m currently updating my Season 15 ‘Doctor Who’ reviews and I’ve yet to update my Season 20 reviews based on their ‘Collection’ Blu-ray box sets. 🙂 But this was released exclusively on the ‘Doctor Who’ YouTube channel lately. Continue reading

Novelization/Audiobook Review – ‘Doctor Who – Wild Blue Yonder’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here I am, back with another review on one of the more recent Target novelizations/audiobooks of ‘Doctor Who’. It’s time for me to share my thoughts on the second of three Target novelizations/audiobooks on the three 60th anniversary specials of ‘Doctor Who’ called ‘Wild Blue Yonder’, featuring the Fourteenth Doctor and Donna Noble. ‘Wild Blue Yonder’ is what I consider the weakest out of the three 60th anniversary specials of ‘Doctor Who’ by Russell T. Davies. Will the Target novelization/audiobook by Mark Morris change my mind about the story? Continue reading

Season 2 of ‘Doctor Who’ with William Hartnell on Blu-ray #9

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to check out the ninth and final story of Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who’ TV series called ‘The Time Meddler’. This is a four-part story by Dennis Spooner, starring William Hartnell as the First Doctor, Maureen O’Brien as Vicki and Peter Purves as new companion Steven Taylor. In this story, our heroes visit Northumbria on the planet Earth in the year 1066. It’s a time where the Vikings are about to invade the home of the Saxons, and the Battle of Hastings is to take place in that year. But the Doctor discovers Peter Butterworth as the Meddling Monk, who’s about to tamper with the course with Earth’s history. Can our heroes uncover why the Monk is doing this? Is the Monk all he seems to be? How is it that the Doctor and the Monk know each other so well? Continue reading

Season 2 of ‘Doctor Who’ with William Hartnell on Blu-ray #8

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Here we are on the penultimate story of Season 2 of the classic ‘Doctor Who TV series. It’s time for another one of my favourite stories from the William Hartnell/First Doctor era – a six-part adventure called ‘The Chase’, featuring the third appearance of the Daleks on TV. This story is notable for featuring the debut of Peter Purves in ‘Doctor Who’ where he plays Morton Dill in the third episode and Steven Taylor in the sixth episode. Steven Taylor becomes a new ‘Doctor Who’ companion after this story. There’s also the introduction of the Mechanoids in this story. ‘The Chase’ also features the departure of TARDIS regulars William Russell as Ian Chesterton and Jacqueline Hill as Barbara Wright, who have been in the ‘Doctor Who’ TV series since the beginning.
