Cinema Experience – ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

For my birthday last Wednesday, I went to see a re-release of ‘Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace’ at Showcase Cinema in Nantgarw. It’s amazing to think that it’s been 25 years since the release of that movie in 1999 and it’s amazing it’s been able to get a limited re-release at cinemas. 🙂 Continue reading

‘Happy Birthday to Me!’ 2024

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’m celebrating my birthday today by sharing a birthday card I received from one of my aunts and uncles on my Dad’s side a few years ago. It’s of course a ‘Dad’s Army’ birthday card. I continue to be a fan of ‘Dad’s Army’ today, especially with enjoying the TV series on Britbox, which has now been transferred to ITVX. Continue reading

Bernard Hill (1944-2024)

Hello everyone.

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

I’m very saddened that Bernard Hill, who played King Théoden in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy by director Peter Jackson, has passed away recently. I was shocked to hear the news, especially as I hoping to meet him in person at the ‘Comic Con Mania Bolton’ event happening on the 18th of May. Continue reading

Mayday, Mayday, Mayday!

Yes, as it’s Early May Bank Holiday Monday in the first week of May today, it’s time for me to share something special with you. After handling ‘The Nyssa Challenge’ of ‘Doctor Who’ reviews for my Easter review season this year, I went into revisiting the ‘Timeslip’ TV series and the first two Big Finish audio stories, which I reviewed and shared on Christmas Day in December 2020. Quick ‘Ghostbusters’ Movie Reviews

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve been able to see all of the ‘Ghostbusters’ films on BBC iPlayer these past two weeks, especially in revisiting ‘Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’ at the cinema in Leicester recently. Since I’ve reviewed that and the original ‘Ghostbusters’ film, it’s fair I share my thoughts on the rest of this movie series. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I had a great time attending ‘Comic Con Mania’ in Leicester last Saturday. I got to reunite with my favourite ‘Doctor Who’ stars Sarah Sutton (Nyssa) and Peter Davison (the Fifth Doctor). I had lovely chats with them both, had photos with them and I took away some special moments from the event. Continue reading

It’s the 1st of May today, and I’m sharing my latest interview with Sarah Sutton (Nyssa in ‘Doctor Who’), who I saw recently at the ‘Comic Con Mania Leicester’ at the Mattioli Arena (formerly Morningside Arena) in Leicester on Saturday the 27th of April 2024. Today’s interview is a very special one, as I chat to Sarah about her first acting job when she was 9 years old. Continue reading

The ‘Homeward Bound’ Movies

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve recently seen the two ‘Homeward Bound’ movies on Disney+. These are movies that I used to enjoy seeing as a kid. I recall the first film more than the second, but it’s been great to check out these movies with more clarity and it has been fun to see the adventures of two dogs and a cat getting home. Quick DVD Review – ‘Partners In Crime’ (1983-84)

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

So, back in 2022, I did a quick review on the 2015 BBC TV adaptation of ‘Partners In Crime’, featuring Agatha Christie‘s less well-known characters in crime English literature – Tommy and Tuppence – played by David Walliams and Jessica Raine. I enjoyed checking out that short-lived six-part TV series. Continue reading
