Quick Movie Review – ‘Matilda the Musical’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s funny. For a long time, I’ve never considered the idea of Roald Dahl‘s ‘Matilda’ being a musical that seriously. The stage show had a trial run in Stratford-upon-Avon from 2010 to 2011 before it had its West End premiere in 2011. Apparently, it’s a popular stage show, yet I’ve not seen it myself. We continue the 60th anniversary celebrations of ‘Doctor Who’ by taking a look at the second story in the classic TV series called ‘The Daleks’, starring William Hartnell as the First Doctor, William Russell as Ian, Jacqueline Hill as Barbara and Carole Ann Ford as Susan. Without the Daleks, ‘Doctor Who’ would never be what it is today. You can watch ‘The Daleks’ either on DVD or Britbox. Continue reading

New ‘Primeval’ Colour Photo

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s sad that Stephen Greif has passed away recently. 😦 I’ll always remember him for playing Kwundaar in the ‘Doctor Who’ audio drama ‘Primeval’ by Big Finish. For ‘Blake’s 7’ fans, he’ll always be remembered for being the first actor to play Commander Travis in Series 1 of the UK sci-fi series. Continue reading

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s 2023 and it’s the 60th anniversary year of ‘Doctor Who’! To commemorate the occasion, I’m revisiting the ‘Doctor Who’ TV stories that are available on DVD, CD (or via Audible), Blu-ray, Britbox and BBC iPlayer throughout the 365 days of 2023. They’ll be stories from the First Doctor era leading up to the latest stories, including the 60th anniversary specials under the neo-Russell T. Davies era. There will also be summaries on each season and reflections on each Doctor in the TV series. Continue reading

My 2022!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

2022 is coming to an end, everyone. Did I enjoy this year? Well, there are times where I think 2022 has been a good year, but there are times where I think it hasn’t been so good. Don’t get me wrong, this year hasn’t been Covid-19 pandemic-heavy as the previous two years – 2020 and 2021 – were. 🙂 Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’s blog and I’m Tim Bradley.

Rian Johnson is a film director I didn’t expect to return to again so soon. 😀 Since I checked out and reviewed ‘Knives Out’ in 2021, it’s only fair that I check out and review the sequel to the 2019 film called ‘Glass Onion’. The film stars Daniel Craig back in his role of the master detective Benoit Blanc. Continue reading
