Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s 2023 and it’s the 60th anniversary year of ‘Doctor Who’! To commemorate the occasion, I’m revisiting the ‘Doctor Who’ TV stories that are available on DVD, CD (or via Audible), Blu-ray, Britbox and BBC iPlayer throughout the 365 days of 2023. They’ll be stories from the First Doctor era leading up to the latest stories, including the 60th anniversary specials under the neo-Russell T. Davies era. There will also be summaries on each season and reflections on each Doctor in the TV series.

For now, let’s check out the first ‘Doctor Who’ story in the classic TV series called ‘An Unearthly Child’, starring William Hartnell as the First Doctor, William Russell as Ian, Jacqueline Hill as Barbara and Carole Ann Ford as Susan. You can watch ‘An Unearthly Child’ either on DVD or Britbox.
