Movie Review – ‘An Affair to Remember’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

My parents and I recently saw the 1957 film ‘An Affair to Remember’ on Disney+. This is a romance film starring Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I found this a pleasant film to watch. Apparently, this happens to be a remake of the 1939 film called ‘Love Affair’, starring Irene Dunne and Charles Boyer. Continue reading

Movie Review – ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

You may have seen the ‘Doctor Who’ story ‘Planet of Giants’; you may also have seen the TV series ‘Land of the Giants’ produced by Irwin Allen. But have you seen the 1989 film ‘Honey, I Shrunk the Kids’? I certainly have, both on DVD years ago and recently on Disney+. It was nice to revisit this film. Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ and I’m Tim Bradley!

Well, I’ve seen the latest film in the ‘Marvel Cinematic Universe’ at the cinema – ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’. This makes it the fifth film I’ve seen at a cinema in 2021. I’m sure I’m going to lose count on how many films I’ve seen at the cinema this year, but I’m glad I’ve seen this lately. 🙂 Continue reading

DVD Review – ‘Tolkien’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Once again, I’ve had an opportunity to revisit ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogies in the world of Middle-Earth. Whilst doing that, I’ve had a chance to revisit the 2019 biographical film ‘Tolkien’, starring Nicholas Hoult and Lily Collins. My parents and I have seen this film more times on DVD and on Disney+ since seeing it for the first time at the cinema back in 2019. Continue reading

Disney Film Review – ‘The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

Recently, my parents and I revisited the 1989 Disney film ‘The Little Mermaid’. We enjoyed seeing that film again to commemorate my late sister Bethan. We also checked out the direct-to-video sequel to that film, ‘The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea’, which we saw on Disney+. Does the sequel match to what’s in the original film? Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Eight Below’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

It’s time to talk about another Disney film I saw on Disney+ lately, and it happens to be the 2006 film ‘Eight Below’. I did see the trailer for ‘Eight Below’ on a Disney DVD one time – 2006’s ‘The Shaggy Dog’, in case you’re wondering – but I never got around to seeing it until now. What did I make of it? Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Free Guy’

SPOILERS ALERT!!!

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

I’ve seen the film ‘Free Guy’ on the big screen! This was well worth checking out and it’s my fourth cinema experience this year! ‘Free Guy’ was originally meant to come out in 2020, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic – please keep safe – the film was delayed by a year, which is a real shame. 😦 Continue reading

Quick Movie Review – ‘Far From Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog’

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

My parents and I recently saw the film ‘Far From Home’ on Disney+. No, no! Not ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’! 😀 This is ‘Far From Home: The Adventures of Yellow Dog’. This was a film I used to see as a kid on VHS. It’s a good film about this young boy who befriends a dog who helps him to survive. Continue reading

Hello everyone! 🙂

Welcome to ‘Bradley’s Basement’ blog and I’m Tim Bradley!

And welcome to the final instalment of the ‘X-Men Film Review Season’!!!!!

Yeah, I know, I know. I’ve got the two ‘Deadpool’ movies and ‘Logan’ to check out, but I’m basing my current ‘X-Men Film Review Season’ on the ‘X-Men’ 10 movie collection available on DVD and Blu-ray. For now, let’s end this review season with the latest and final instalment of the ‘X-Men’ film series by 20th Century Fox/Studios – ‘The New Mutants’. This film is directed by Josh Boone and stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Alice Braga, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga. Continue reading
